I know it looks intimidating but the shakti mat is incredible. Once i get past the initial discomfort ( about 5 minutes) I go into a very deep relaxation (sometimes i fall asleep and dribble i am so relaxed lol) . You just have to get past the first few minutes. I have alot of shoulder and back issues and this bring me such relief. Start with wearing a tshirt and once you get used to it you can lie on it with bare skin.
