Salt New York makes the best magnetic makeup palette, sometimes called a Z-pallette, on the market. I have The Quad (fits 4 of their pans), and the currently unavailable large (fits 8 of their pans and still has space for some smaller pans) palette as well. I use the Quad for travel, and the large palette for all my single pans. Both are travel-friendly, though. The zip design won't open in your bag. They're sturdy enough that none of my pans have ever broken while traveling, but I also haven't put them in checked luggage. I've used these for 2+ years, and they are still in perfect condition.
