Reviews mention

  • Smooth, creamy shake texture
  • Balanced, not-too-sweet flavors
  • Convenient, shelf-stable packaging
  • Clean, plant-based ingredient list
  • Inconsistent, artificial-tasting strawberry flavor
  • Lingering stevia aftertaste
  • Lower protein-per-serving content
  • Occasionally high sodium levels

PIRQ earns largely positive reviews for tasty, dairy-free, plant-based protein shakes and electrolyte mixes that are convenient, shelf-stable, and smooth rather than chalky, with standout flavors like Caramel Coffee, Decadent Chocolate, and Golden Vanilla. Reviews also flag weaknesses: inconsistent flavors (especially strawberry), noticeable stevia/pea-protein aftertaste for some, modest protein per serving versus dairy shakes, and occasional gum additives or high sodium noted by a few.

  • Pros: The watermelon flavor does taste like watermelon with very little weird aftertaste, and I like that there’s added turmeric! Cons: These are very expensive for what they are and I don’t like the usage of stevia.

  • Not bad. I bought the coffee flavor, it's sweet, creamy and with a hint of coffee flavor. I enjoyed it with crushed ice, it does taste like a protein shake but not so bad like other brands. The color doesn't look appetizing but who cares, it's healthy but doesn't taste like healthy, do you know what I mean?

  • I had high hopes for this product because I love ready made shakes. They’re super convenient for my lifestyle. Unfortunately, I found the product left a thick cocoa flavored coating after drinking it. I didn’t find it pleasant so I won’t be purchasing again.

  • I tried the golden vanilla flavor and it was delicious! No chalkiness.

  • I really enjoyed the tumeric milk flavor, which I am not sure if they still offer. I thought that the tumeric vanilla was auch more unique of an offering thatn the run of the mill vanilla protein shake. I thought that the price point was a little high but could be justified if you are in a pinch and away from your own blender.

  • Love the plant protein superfoods drink, love the hydration!

  • I'm an athlete and need at least 20g of protein after my workouts to fully recover. Unfortunately this is not always easy. I've tried alot of protein supplements over the years and am interested in drinks because they are the easiest to get down. I'm happy to announce that this one actually tastes good and doesn't upset my stomach!

  • Enjoyable protein and superfood-filled way to start the day! I really like to drink one of these before or after a quick workout. Out of the three flavors I tried, I would rank them Caramel Coffee, Decadent Chocolate, then Golden Vanilla.

  • I’ve been drinking Pirq shakes for a couple months now and I really like them. The chocolate flavor is my favorite, it’s smooth, not too sweet, and doesn’t taste chalky like some protein drinks. I love that it’s plant-based, has no added sugar, and still gives me 15 grams of protein. It keeps me full between meals and is great after workouts. It’s a little pricey, but worth it for the clean ingredients and how convenient it is when I’m on the go.

  • I tried Pirq for the first time recently. I love the convenience of a pre-made shake. The strawberry flavor tasted delicious and perfectly sweet. The shakes being dairy-free are a huge bonus for me. The macros are very good.

  • I have tried the chocolate shake and found it tasted quite good - not overwhelmingly sweet and has a good chocolate flavor. The texture is nice too, not too thin or thick, and the macros are impressive for a vegan protein shake.

  • The star of this drink is its rich, aromatic vanilla essence, which strikes a balance between sweet and nuanced. Unlike overly sugary alternatives, PIRQ’s formulation layers the vanilla with subtle hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, evoking the cozy familiarity of a chai latte. The spices are gentle, allowing the vanilla to shine while adding depth. It’s reminiscent of a warm dessert but refined enough to avoid being cloying—a nod to traditional vanilla flavors with a modern, health-forward twist.

  • Pretty decent vegan protein shakes, not overly sweet but also without the horrible chalky/gritty aftertaste that a lot of similar shakes have. The chocolate & caramel coffee flavors are both tasty.

  • These are pretty tasty. They're packed with nutritious ingredients and the protein content is pretty high (21 g) for a plant-based shake. I've added the vanilla flavor to oatmeal, and I've even added cocoa powder to it to turn it from vanilla to "chocolate" flavor.

  • My girlfriend is a huge fan of PIRQ. She is sensitive to dairy. Being a dairy-free protein shake that tastes good is what matters to her. And PIRQ earned her loyalty!

  • Tried Pirq Protein and didn’t love it. The taste was okay, but the fake sugar aftertaste was pretty strong and not pleasant. It’s a decent option if you’re looking for protein, but the flavor definitely wasn’t my favorite.
