Meet Piecework: a female-founded puzzle company dedicated to quality time in the great indoors. We believe that puzzles deserve as much consideration as all the other objects in our lives and have set out to refresh the humble jigsaw. More than just design, we see puzzles as a means to slow down and live in the moment. Every one of our titles offers a small world to immerse oneself in, and a storybook collection to grow over time. All puzzles have extra-thick pieces, a premium matte finish, and are made from 100% recycled paper.

I’ve been a fan of Piecework since they arrived on the puzzle scene.

As a consumer, their consistency in terms of creativity and quality improvement goes a long way. The recent puzzles I’ve purchased from them are an extremely sturdy material with the velvet-touch finish, and include fun new touches such as compostable bags and a curated playlist- and the playlists are really good, at that.

Each launch gets more fun than the next, with more image diversity. As a puzzler, I appreciate the expansion of themes and image difficulty.

 I’ll be gifting their puzzles for the holidays this year. There’s definitely something for every personality.

Side note: my puzzle got lost in the mail and their customer service issued me a new one right away, even though the issue was one with the carrier, which is above and beyond.



Piecework puzzles are equally beautiful and challenging. I’m surprised to read that other reviews claim the materials are less than high quality. I couldn’t disagree more. The pieces are velvety soft and super sturdy…probably the nicest quality puzzle I’ve seen. I gave a couple away as gifts and each recipient has shared the same impression of Piecework’s luxurious quality. The colors and art designs are fabulous….I’m a bit addicted to these gorgeous products! 

The puzzles can be a bit pricey; I’d likely buy more if they were slightly cheaper. 

These puzzles are beautiful and make great gifts for really any occasion - birthday, holidays, housewarmings, etc. We also got a few for our office to keep in the kitchen/common area. The images are fresh, fun, and something I’d want on display either as a completed puzzle or as a box on a bookshelf. 

I love Piecework puzzles! They are fun to do and the box looks great under my coffee table too. I got both of mine at thrift stores and plan on passing them along to a friend eventually for them to do.

Beautiful, complex art and delightfully challenging puzzles. The piece shapes have very little rhyme or reason, and every element of the puzzle feels considered and thoughtful. These puzzles have made for great date nights at home, and my coworkers have started swapping when we finish one.

Super giftable, super cute designs! As an actual puzzle, they're actually a bit easy given the designs but I still have really liked the one that I own an the one I did with a friend 

I found this brand during the Holidays and I am obsessed with their designs! We even received a puzzle that was missing a few pieces and they immediately replaced it. I've now done four and loved them all. Works of art! They are really challenging but in a fun way.

A friend gave me the toga party puzzle as a gift and it was a really fun (hard but not too hard) puzzle to do when I got home from work. Loved the visuals as well. High quality puzzle. 

I love how stylish the puzzles are and the pieces themselves feel very luxe. Piecework made me fall in love with puzzling for the first time since I was a kid :)

I have the Cat Person one and I love it! As it's a puzzle there are no particularly innovative features, but it's a good, solid jigsaw with fun themes.

Absolutely LOVE these puzzles! I got a few as a gift and truthfully they are so aesthetically pleasing and I even framed one because it was so pretty :) The feel of the puzzle is LUXURIOUS - the matte on the pieces are my favorite thing. 10/10 love these!

High quality puzzles that come in super interesting and unique designs. 

I would love them to release some mini puzzles? I always need something to do with my hands but don’t always want to start a 1000 piece puzzle. 

The photos they use are gorgeous, so it looks pretty sitting out on your coffee table while you work on it. The pieces are matte finished too so you don’t have to worry about lighting which is great since the glare is normally my biggest pet peeve with puzzles.

Super bummed! Just got back into puzzles (since my kids stopped destroying things). Got this puzzle because I liked the looks and style. I had previously ordered a puzzle off of amazon and it had great reviews and the pieces were easy to put together. 

This puzzle, on the other hand, was exceptionally difficult. Just creating the border took way too long as pieces seemed to fit that shouldn't have and ended up missing a border piece when I finished! 

There were several moments during the put together were I had to remove pieces that clearly fit that didn't belong and it was hard to access because the whole section was black. 

I purchased two other puzzles from them and I plan on returning it. 

When purchasing it said the returns were easy. But they are not. They basically give you a return address to use and a code, and you have to go to the post office, get a box, make a label and pay for your own return.

Not ideal. Will be sticking with my amazon puzzles.



The quality can vary from puzzle to puzzle - some cardboard is more sturdy on some puzzles than others. 

Piecework is by far my favorite puzzle brand (I have tried many) - the designs are beautiful, the puzzles are challenging but not too hard, and they release new designs enough to keep up with how often I use them. These are on the pricier side, so I make sure to pass these along to friends or neighbors to make sure they get used more than once. 

These puzzles aren't for the faint of heart! I typically do 1,000 piece puzzles or more, so I ordered The Meta Puzzle (a puzzle of someone doing a puzzle!) and I'm being challenged! I think the images are stunning and they often have large sections where the print is difficult to piece together. 

I also bought the Apres Ski, Garden Party, Flower Feast, and Cloud Nine because imagines are so fun! I also think they're worth the price because I find these are more difficult than a lot of 1,000 piece puzzles due to the intricacy and repetitive elements in the images.

I cant speak for all of the puzzles, but the quality of the pieces are great with my meta and garden party puzzles. 

Makes a great gift and perfect for cold, cozy days!

LOVED the image. I got this as a gift for Christmas, but picked it out as a splurge present. With that many pieces, it took me awhile to complete. For the price I was happy with the printing quality of the pieces, although some pieces had some chipping. Great images and a fun switch from traditional puzzle images.
