Patagonia earns overwhelmingly positive reviews and proves itself a good brand: gear is exceptionally durable, warm, and versatile across activities, with standouts like the Nano Puff, Better Sweater, Synchilla fleeces, Atom Sling, and Black Hole bags. Reviews also flag drawbacks—frequent comments on high pricing, inconsistent or tricky sizing (especially women’s bottoms), occasional fleece pilling and Nano Puff snags, a few wind/waterproof performance gaps, and muted styling for some tastes—making in‑store try‑ons and product selection key.

Patagonia is my favorite brand by a country mile. Durable clothing, great customer service, and a leading example of how brands should approach sustainability.

High quality products at a higher price point (but justified). Perfect for all things outdoors, mostly used for skiing layers in my closet.

A lot of the fleeces shrink in the wash, so be on the lookout for that!
Warm and durable. These pieces are perfect for a variety of activities, lifestyles, and people. Everyone is sure to find a color or style they love!
Patagonia is tried and true. Their products are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Every item I’ve purchased from them has lasted several years. Everyone always seems to be thrilled to receive a piece of Patagonia clothing as a gift.
I've had my father's old Patagonia shirts and Jackets from the 90s and it's still as durable as ever. Even now, this brand is always our go-to for winter and hiking clothing.
If you care about the environment and want high quality products, look no further. Patagonia is aware of their carbon footprint and want to do good for the environment. They produce some of the best outerwear for different activities. Their coats keep you warm and do not feel heavy. They are a bit expensive compared to the competition but it’s worth the price.
I have multiple pieces from Patagonia and love every single one. I’ve shopped Patagonia for 10+ years now. From the fleeces to pants, they are all high quality and will last a long time. I love wearing them camping and casual outings.
Owned multiple synchilla fleeces over the years and each of them have held up perfectly in extreme temperatures.
I have a Patagonia jacket from Nordstrom and the jacket does a good job at keeping me warm
A paragon of sustainability and selflessness. Any modern brand contributes to waste, but they are at the forefront of reuse and mindfulness of lifecycle.

Nothing.
I used to feel blegh about it because all the finance bros wear a Patagonia vest, but if I must be honest, the quality is solid. With the CEO's recent announcement of how he's giving the company away to combat climate change, I am REALLY sold and will be buying more from them to support the company's cause!
this brand is stylish and good for the winter.

the coats do not really work for extremely cold temperatures. they are great for mildly cold weather, maybe down to 30 degrees.

Patagonia has never let me down. I buy their products full price and it is worth every penny. For an outdoor apparel brand, I love their mission and quality. I always bring a patagonia jacket with me for my travels - prepares me for any type of weather!

Everything I own from here is incredible quality and there is a lifetime warranty program where they'll fix and mend most of your clothing items. Their mission is very admirable and its one of my favorite brands.
Amazing products with a very important company mission. Definitely worth investing in!

The products are incredible quality. They’re fashionable and actually functional for the activities they’re advertised for. On top of that, the companies profits are now being donated to environmental efforts. I genuinely cannot think of a more altruistic brand with a stronger commitment to their values. The New York Times article about the founder’s careful planning of the company future really cements Patagonia as my favorite brand.
