Great flavor and so easy to throw together for a quick, no boring meal. Paired it with grilled sumac chicken and garlic yogurt. Delicious!

Solid nutritional profile, but wasn't as flavorful as I'd hoped - after following the cooking instructions, I wound up with a slightly blamd, watery rice and bean mixture. The beans didn't break down at all, and I wanted it to be richer. Adding oil or cooking a bit more may help.

I've never tried Kitchari before, and one thing I appreciate about the brand is that it offers easy to make international foods, letting more people access a different cuisine. Following the instructions was very easy and I cooked the meal with no issues. It has a hearty taste, and it definitely reminded me a bit of yellow curry. I can definitely see why it's described as a comfort food. I couldn't eat it all at one time so I refrigerated the leftovers and it kept quite well. The only criticism I have is that I don't think the calorie count on the back of the box can possibly be accurate. It said 260 calories (or something like that) for the whole box, but it made multiple bowls of mostly rice, so I think it must be higher. I also have to mention that the design of the box is fun and memorable. I'd absolutely recommend it to somebody.

The packaging is beautiful and the product is super easy and convenient for a nutritious week day meal. Unfortunately, the kitchari is bland and needed to be dressed up a bit with some chhonk or some punchier flavors. Also, need to get the cost down because $10 is too expensive for the product when beans and rice are notoriously cheap ingredients. But overall I think the product has a great future and looking forward to trying more products.

This was an easy weeknight meal after a busy day! My family loved the flavors. I served this with naan and a side of vegetables. Pros: - very flavorful - easy to make - convenient to keep in pantry and make for a last minute meal Cons: - price point makes this a little inaccessible to stock up, but will likely keep at least one box on hand - not a super quick meal, however still on the table in about 30 minutes!

VERY tasty! A little on the pricy side, but highly recommended. Tastes very nourishing. The flavor is perfect and it cooks well on the rice cooker. I also used chicken broth rather than water to cook the rice---so that definitely contributed to the tastiness.

Super easy to cook! It does need that extra flavoring to bring into it, whether that's a protein or a veggie. Great side dish!

Love the Paro daal-- it's exactly the flavors I've eaten in India. And the tarka is amazing! Put it on everything! Would def purchase again.
