This kit is size Small so I should've expected it to be, well, small. But it's smaller than I'd imagined. That said, I love the design in how it unzips for easy visibility and accessibility to your items. Consider that I bought this to use as a Dopp kit: the material of the shell is ideal for wiping up spills and the inevitable grime that comes with tossing toiletries into the kit and the kit then into various bags. I find the compartments and sleeves are more suited to house makeup and small brushes rather than the practical necessities that I take on my trips. Not saying it's gendered, but it seems the product was designed principally with a woman in mind. So while I may not use the nooks and crannies to their fullest potential, I find overall this is a suitable replacement for a traditional Dopp kit. Unless you are only traveling weekends or day trips, I recommend starting with a larger size.
