Reviews mention

  • Soft cloudknit fabric loungewear
  • Durable rectrek pants construction
  • Playful, distinctive colorways
  • Thoughtful pockets and details
  • Inconsistent, unreliable sizing
  • Stiff, slipping leggings performance
  • Sweat‑showing, thick fabrics
  • Variable durability in seams

Outdoor Voices earns mixed reviews: the brand delivers soft, durable lounge and athleisure standouts like CloudKnit joggers, RecTrek pants, and the iconic Exercise Dress, but performance pieces—especially many leggings and some bras—feel stiff, slip, or show sweat, and sizing runs inconsistent. Reviews of Outdoor Voices also flag variable quality and fit (plus-size and petite needs unmet), while praising unique colorways, thoughtful details (pockets, adjustable straps), and long-wearing fleece and basics; great for everyday movement and errands, less reliable for high‑intensity workouts.

  • Cute styles! Not a fan of the warm up fabric but live the cloud knit and tech sweat fabric. It is quite expensive.

  • Cute and quality workout gear. Good picks for men and women! As a 5’2” petite woman, I needed to size down.

  • I was living in LA when Outdoor Voices launched and I really bought into the hype. They do have cute stuff but I think I fell for the marketing more than the actual products. Simply put, there is better quality athleisure out there.

  • Okay I own at least 10+ items from this brand so I feel pretty confident that my opinion is legit. Sizing: - Typically consistent with other exercise brands - I'm 5'6, 127 lbs and always a small in OV Quality - All of my items have held up from continuous wear and washing. - The materials feel thick and sturdy, without being too thick to the point of being hot. IT factor - They invented the exercise dress and then basically everyone copied them. They still do it better than the rest.

  • I loved Outdoor Voices originally, I thought they were innovative in this athleisure wear space. However, their quality seems to be inconsistent to me. I have a hat and pair of pants I love, but also a bodysuit that I purchased recently that just feels cheap.

Material used could be made higher quality

  • Love their sports bra, do not like the sports/leggings

    Feedback

Shorts sometimes aren’t made well, one pair was see through on the back

  • Love the exercise dress but I can only afford to buy things from them on sale. I find them to be pretty overpriced.

  • I purchased a pair of bike shorts from this brand and are really loving them. The quality and fit is amazing and am thinking about purchasing the exercise dress for tennis!

  • Love love love! I got my retrek pants for my birthday and I have worn it pretty much every day for both work and for outdoor activities. The brand's quality and their materials are amazing.

  • I think the new styles are really cute, but haven't purchased in awhile because the OG leggings and bra are not the most comfortable sets that I own. I think the high necked bra is not great for larger chests.

  • I love the exercise dress, I tried it last year & then bought a second one. I also have a bodysuit that I bought second-hand. Everything that I have fits well. I love to wear the dresses or the bodysuit when traveling or just lounging around. The exercise dress has been perfect for playing tennis. I think the colors and prints are fun and different.

  • I probably have too much stuff from here. I'm especially a fan of their CloudKnit products. It's light and great for the warm weather in LA. It's also nice as the products do not lose their softness after washes.

  • Comfy, affordable clothing for lounging, working out, traveling, or just running errands. I personally prefer their loungewear to active line as the active wear as the sweat wicking capabilities did not work well for me and my high intensity exercises.

  • I’ve loved everything I’ve bought from this brand. It’s all very comfortable and high quality. I like the colors they use and the tennis or workout skirts especially. The style is super quirky in my opinion.

  • I used to be super obsessed with OV. I’ve since chilled out a little and realized that they do certain things very well and I’d love and repurchase but others are just OK. I love my exercise dresses (have them in 2 colors) they’re good quality and are really cute! They do ride up a little though. My holy grail from here are the rectrek pants. I have them in 3 colors and I use them everywhere: rock climbing, work, everyday wear. They have zippered pockets which are great and are unbelievably stretchy and comfortable while not looking tooooo much like sports pants. The leggings are solid and have lasted me a while but I have preferences for other stores for leggings.

  • Love almost everything from OV. Quality bd fit are consistent and great. Love that they have all sorts of styles for different activities. Workout dresses are amazing and most have built in shorts.

  • I have many things from outdoor voices and love this brand. the quality is high and they have amazing customer service. it washes and dries really well and fits great! Runs true to size

  • I have the move free tank top and the all-time bra. I do like both of the pieces. I wish the sports bra fit better, as I had to size up for my rib cage and it led to gaping by the armpit area. I also tried on the exercise dress and was somewhat disappointed with the quality. The fabric felt thin and less compressive than I expected. I also overheard people discussing how the straps had stretched out and there wasn't much that could be done to fix them.
