On Running earns polarized reviews: many say the shoes are comfortable, lightweight, and cushioned enough for walking, everyday wear, and even long races, while others report inconsistent support for running, half‑size‑small fits, and durability issues like heel and mesh tearing. Reviews praise styles like Cloud 5, Cloudmonster, Cloudrunner, and The Roger for sleek looks and versatile comfort, but flag pebble‑catching soles, flimsy or fussy laces, traction concerns on wet metal, and widely criticized customer service.

  • Save yourself the headache. This company has the worst customer service that I’ve ever experienced. After reading a lot of reviews (after it was too late), I’ve learned that my experience is not unique. Original order never arrived. After a month (and countless phone calls and emails), I was told my order was going to be shipped. The same day, I received another email stating that I was being refunded. Later that week I received the wrong pair of shoes. Not the right color or the right model. It just gets worse after that. Check their BBB rating (F) and look for reviews from anyone that has had to deal with customer service. Do they feel good?yea. Is it worth it, nah. I’m moving on.

  • So I'm typically a Hoka girlie because I fiend for the cushycush, but I decided to switch it up this year. The Cloudmonsters are allegedly the closest thing to Hoka's that On currently offers, so I went with those. Very expensive shoe!!! Definitely good looking, and their forward rolling technology is pretty impressive (you have to try it out to see what I mean), but the cushion level just isn't the same. My knees and shins are experiencing more pain now that I'm wearing On's. I run and walk a lot in NYC, so this was a bummer, albeit a stylish bummer. Return policy isn't as flexible as Hoka either. Boo hoo.

  • Within first month I had issues with only one shoe squeaking while it was wet outside. They said it’s not a warranty issue even though only one does it. It now does it when dry. Horrible customer service and horrible quality for a very expensive shoe.

  • Worst customer service on the planet! They screwed up my order, then updated shipping to send back to their warehouse, then said they fixed it, what a circus. On the phone for about 4 hours somehow being put on hold and getting transfered along with getting bad information. When all I wanted was the shoes I ordered delivered around when they said they would be. 0 stars.

  • Sure, here's a revised version of your review for On-Running: "The shoe quality seems to be good, but unfortunately, my experience with their service and delivery was quite disappointing. I ordered a pair for my wife's birthday and our vacation trip, but the service and delivery turned into a nightmare. They opted for FedEx Ground, which I wouldn't recommend, as it took nearly a month to receive my order. Unlike their competitors who offer excellent and timely delivery, On-Running fell short. I placed an order for a pair of shoes that, according to the website, had already been delivered – a claim that turned out to be false. I had to use all available tracking tools to finally receive my order almost a month after placing it. My suggestion for others would be to place orders at least 2 months in advance of when you plan to use the products."

  • Order shoes off the website. Sadly had to return because the size was too small. Also didn't like the colour. You only can change the size when you exchange the shoe and not the colour. If you wanna a other colour you have to make a completely new order.

  • Bought a pair of On’s for my son in law on Amazon. They started falling apart a month after purchase. I contacted On for a warranty claim and provided them with my $200 Amazon receipt. They informed me that they don’t offer any warranty on their shoes sold through Amazon - the worlds largest retailer. Messed up and crazy policy!

  • Super lightweight and awesome for walking around in all day, also love the design super unique

  • This review is for the Cloudneo, On's "subscription running shoe" concept. I'll start by saying that I adore the concept—the need to buy new running shoes 2–3x per year SUCKS as a serious runner. Not only is it expensive, but it feels especially wasteful (though I do try to donate my used shoes). So I really love the idea overall, and the price ($30 / mo) is reasonable considering you can trade them in for a new pair as soon as every 3 months. The shoes were stylish and fit well. I usually go for wider toe boxes for my running shoes, which these do not have—but I still felt comfortable in them. The shoes are snappy and responsive, but fell short of the type of performance shoe I'm used to. For a casual runner, I can see these being a great choice. But for someone running anything more than 30 MPW, these may start to hurt. They just do not have the cushion and give that my usual running shoes (Saucony Endorphin Speed/Pro) do.

  • So upsetting to deal with this company. I wish I had read the reviews before. They have no regard for their customers or issues they may face. And their website is ridiculous and the SHOE SUCKS! I wanted a reliable pair of shoes to play tennis after an injury and searched on their website 'tennis shoes' and ordered the Roger Center Court. They are insanely stiff and I wore them for some time to break them in. However, it was clear after months of use nothing was changing and they really hurt my feet. They are so stiff, no give at all, even pulling the laces are a challenge. They dug into my feet and left marks! I reached out through a warranty claim and they wasted my time, did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue and told me this is an 'every day' shoe and is not meant for Tennis....UM then why did it come up when I searched it on your website, that's a poorly designed website and they said it's 'Tennis inspired'....yeah I'll just leave you with that. They present themselves as a professional, well-run company but I assure from personal experience they are anything but!

  • They advertise a referral program where you and a friend can get 10% off if you share your code with them and they make a purchase. I signed up for it and the link was broken. I tried to reach them via live chat, email, and even Facebook Messenger and no one got back to me. I needed the shoes urgently for an upcoming trip so we purchased both pairs of shoes and continued trying to reach them afterward to see if they could apply the 10% off as promised. Nope. They would not honour what they advertised. And so we are returning both pairs of shoes and a third friend will also not be purchasing. It's not about the small 10% off -- it's the principle of the thing. The awful customer service is why we will not be customers.

  • I ordered the Cloud 5 and was super excited to try these out, but am surprisingly disappointed. I love the look of them, but by feet hurt so much more in these than my pair of Nike's. The soles of my feet feel like they are being torn apart. Went for a quick 2 mile walk and was limping by the time I got home. My search still continues to find a good and comfortable shoe. I'm unable to return as I don't have the original box as I didn't expect I would have to return them.

  • I was excited to try On Running because I had heard such great things about this brand. My first purchase was a significant let down as the shoe made a squeaking noise when I walked in the shoe. It was disruptive in the office and just could not be worn. The company refused to replace the shoe with another pair, despite only being worn 10 times. Because of this I will not buy another pair of On Running shoes or recommend them to anyone else.

    Feedback

The company could have exchanged the shoe to give me an opportunity to love the shoe and become a loyal brand customer. Instead the company chose to disregard my complaint and leave me 100% unsatisfied with an expensive shoe.

  • The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. 3 phone calls (hung up on once) and no one can tell me where my order is. Paid extra for priority shipping. I will NEVER buy another pair of these shoes. This is my 5th pair and I see how they treat loyal customers. Never again.

  • I have the Cloud 5 which are really comfortable shoes for everyday use. Quick and easy to put on and very lightweight.

  • Lovely shoes! I bought the ON Cloudflow shoes. These are a great lightweight and comfortable shoe for walking, running and exercise in general. There are lots of colour schemes and specific size profiles for wide feet too! Well Done ON!

Create a waterproof version of this!

  • I put about 6 miles per day on my On Running sneakers. They are supportive, sturdy, and just what my feet & knees to keep me ache-free before and after a run or walk.

    Feedback

A friend of mine bought them when I loved mine so much but I think her feet are more narrow than mine so she did not have as much love for them as me so definitely try them on.

  • Bought a second pair after 2 years of 10km urban runs in my first. Great fit, although I had to modify my stride to account for the rather chunky sole. Wouldn't run in anything else now!

    Feedback

As noted by others, detritus will collect in the sole. This once almost caused a fall on a wet day.

  • I love the look of these shoes, I have about 4 pairs. However, the shoes are not comfortable and they get worn down pretty quickly. I have very thin ankles and every pair I have ever owned has cut into my heel to the point where it makes me bleed. I have purchased 4 pairs of these shoes and every single one of them has done it. I'd love to give them a better review because I absolutely love the look of them but this is very consistent across all of the different styles.
