  • Refined, memorable fragrances

  • Accessible, diverse scent range
  • Inconsistent odor longevity
  • Occasional white residue transfer
  • Gritty, sticky deodorant texture

Native earns mixed-to-positive reviews: its deodorants and body washes smell exceptional and many users say they work for everyday wear, while others report short wear time, residue, and staining. Reviews praise clean-feeling formulas, sensitive-skin options, and standout scents like Coconut & Vanilla, Eucalyptus & Mint, and Citrus & Herbal Musk, but note inconsistent odor control in heat/workouts, occasional rashes or grit, and cardboard-packaging ergonomics.

  • Native delivers on its promise of effective, natural deodorant. The range of scents is impressive and the formula feels gentle on the skin. However, some may find reapplication necessary throughout the day. A reliable choice for those looking to make the switch to aluminum-free options. Personally found it to not work sometimes.

  • Love how natural it is and doesnt make me he have a bad smell all day!

  • Skeptical at first due to the sudden appearance of their commercials. Then I was brought one when my S.O. didn't know what I used. They smell AMAZING. I also forget I'm wearing it once its applied and I'm on about my day. Compared to other brands I have used, the lack of "feeling like I'm wearing deodorant" is great! I see some people say it is not strong enough to cover their scent when active. I'd suggest wiping your pits with isopropyl alcohol and then applying Native if you want. I have heard it helps, but do not personally utilize this method. That said, I do sometimes enjoy the mixture of their wonderful scents with my mild natural odor. The scent profiles can be hit or miss, but I appreciate that the company is trying innovative ideas! I also just discovered you can get them in plastic-free packaging, which before I learned that was my initial gripe with a product branding itself as "Native." The other issue is the cost in the store. Sometimes one stick is 3x the cost of other brands. However, if that money goes back into R&D and the company continues to improve I can see Native becoming my go-to brand.

  • Native is a great brand and concept and I think it would work well for light perspiration and odor. The smell is quite pleasant. Only complaint I have is that the formula feels a bit gritty to me and if you are having an active day you have to reapply a couple of times.

  • I love the concept of a natural deodorant, that being said…this caused my under arms to get red and burn after each time I tried this product. Maybe I just have super sensitive under arms? But I ended up having to toss it for that reason

  • Genuinely have never smelt better and doesn’t leave marks on clothing! Also easy to match with your other body products.

  • So handy when travelling as it doesn't contribute to liquids! Feels amazing on but can sometimes leave white marks on clothes (like most deodorants!)

  • I've tried a lot of natural deodorants and this is one of the better ones. It goes on smoothly with no residue and has a light scent to it. I'm not one to sweat or stink much but when I do this does a good enough job that I feel like I smell good all day long. It's a good natural deodorant.

  • Best smelling and safe deodorant. Bought for my 12 year old. Smells great and is safe to use. Lasts a long time and is not irritating.

  • Love natives scents and that they have a line for sensitive skin, which I appreciate.

  • Hey fellow curly-haired friends, I wanted to share something. I recently tried Native shampoo and conditioner, and I’ve been quite impressed. What caught my attention about Native is their commitment to cleaner ingredients – no silicones or sulfates. And for someone like me, with thin, curly hair, it’s been quite beneficial. My curls feel lighter, less weighed down. And a little side note about the packaging: it’s quite sleek and minimalistic. It gives my bathroom a bit of a polished feel, which is a nice bonus. In all, I’ve been happy with the switch. My hair feels healthier, and those curly tresses seem to have a bit more bounce. If you’re curious about trying something new for your hair, it might be worth giving Native a shot.

  • This product smells great. However, if I sweat even a little bit it made me smell bad. This deodorant did not work for me.

  • I enjoyed some of the scents but left residue on clothing. Didn’t help with sweat.

    None
  • Wanted to love these more but they just weren’t the best for my body. The only scent that seems to do its job for me is coconut vanilla. I have a mini in my purse at all times for when I need to reapply and it’s been a life saver!

  • Native was one of those brands that I really wanted to like. I love the packaging and the scents they offer for both their deodorants and shampoos. However, the products simply don't work. Deodorant: I tried the Charcoal scent and I liked how it smelled. The texture was much thicker than what I'm used to, but not unbearable. The issue is that it simply does not control your bo. I live in Florida and sweating is a given, even if you spend the whole day indoors. This deodorant doesn't even masks odor, it simply doesn't do anything other than stain your clothes. Shampoo: I tried the Eucalyptus and Mint 2 in 1 shampoo and it dried out my hair like crazy!!! It smelled really good and my scalp felt nice, but my hair looked terrible. I have curly hair, which is already prone to being dry, so this did me no favors. Maybe it works best if you have straight hair, but if you have curls, I would stay away from this.

  • The. Deodorant. Does. Not. Work. At. All. You may as well just put vaseline on your underarms. It'll deliver the same level of deodorizing - that is to say, not at all. I've used other natural deodorants before that have worked for an hour or two before letting up- but Native's is different. It literally just doesn't work at all. Cool packaging and mission though! Hence the 2 stars.
