Reviews mention

  • Refined, natural-leaning fragrances
  • Gentle, sensitive-skin formulas
  • Smooth, comfortable application
  • Attractive, sustainable packaging
  • Inconsistent odor protection longevity
  • White residue and shirt staining
  • Occasional gritty, sticky texture
  • Body wash sometimes feels drying

Native earns praise for clean ingredients, standout scents (Coconut & Vanilla, Cucumber & Mint, Lilac & White Tea, Citrus & Herbal Musk) and comfortable, non-irritating wear for many, but reviews say performance is inconsistent: the deodorant often fades by midday, struggles in heat/workouts, can leave white residue or shirt stains, and some experience rashes or gritty texture. Reviews of body wash and hair care skew positive for gentle lather and pleasant aromas, though a few find body wash drying and shampoos underwhelming. Overall, Native is a good natural option if you don’t sweat heavily and will reapply; heavy sweaters may need stronger protection.

  • My family has a sensitivity to aluminum. It worked well for one but didn’t for another.

  • I tried so hard to love this, but I am a bigger gal who sweats a lot and this really did no help for my sweating, smell and even made me start breaking out.

  • I absolutely love this product. Previously I had bad rashes from regular deodorant, but tjis was life changer.

  • Bought it because of its appealing packaging. Smells great. But unfortunately it didnt work for me as a deodorant or anti-perspiration.

  • I like the clean part of the product but it does not solve my need for zero waste products.

  • Native vanilla coconut stick deodorant smells divine, I’ve used secret for years but I’m making healthier choices on products I use. It seems to work I’ve been using it for 3 weeks it works wonderfully just as good as secret. The only things I’d recommend after scanning it on yucka is to get the spray version because the stick did not get a good score also it’s expensive to not be toxic free like their other products.

    Daughter uses it
  • The one highlight is that the scents are great! I tried unscented, aloe & green tea, cucumber & mint, and even the sea salt & cedar for the shampoo. I used this deodorant for a while and got past the point of 3 weeks in where natural deodorant/ or none at all makes you smell like a nice fresh onion because your body is detoxing. Native is alright.. I felt like I often had to reapply and if you sweat at night it doesn’t really help. My comforter was kind of smelling like body odor where my armpits would be. The deodorant stick’s plastic holder would also kind of scratch my armpits and I hated that.

  • Finally an aluminum free/ natural deodorant that ACTUALLY works. Unreal. Never thought I’d see the day. Been burned so many times I almost didn’t try it. Glad I did! Scents are amazing too!

  • I’ve used Native consistently for about three years and overall I love the product! The seasonal scents are some of my favorites especially the collab with Jungalow but the more sweet collabs like the Candy Shop ones can be overwhelming. I also appreciate the venture info cardboard tubes but it can be hard to find most of my preferred scents in store that way. I love any of the deodorants using Bergamont or Lilac. You absolutely have to reapply on hot days though!

  • I liked this product when I first started using it but I didn't realize how much better it would work if you did a full detox. That's on me but still felt like it didn't quite do as well as some of my other ones.

  • I love the clean simple products put out by this brand. I specifically use their deodorant and I love the natural smell it has, but the fact that it does a great job as deodorant does not go unnoticed!

  • Amazing! Their deodorant is the only natural deodorant I've tried that works all day and doesn't give me a rash. I've tried so many over the past 5 or 6 years and none can compare to Native.

  • I recently tried Native deodorant and I have to say, I'm impressed! Not only does it keep me feeling fresh and odor-free all day long, but it's also made with natural ingredients that I can feel good about putting on my skin. The scents are amazing too - I love the variety of options they have available. Plus, the packaging is sleek and stylish. Overall, I highly recommend Native deodorant to anyone looking for a reliable and eco-friendly deodorant option.

  • I've made the transition to aluminum-free deodorant/antiperspirant and Native was the third brand I tried. I was skeptical as the first two brands failed miserably. Native surprised me though. I haven't had issues with wetness or smell using their deodorant. It even keeps me smelling good during hard workouts. They also have lots of other great products including soaps, shampoos, and conditioners, all of which smell great. If you're looking to switch to an aluminum-free deodorant, give Native a try! They even have plastic-free containers!

  • Love the variety of scents and formulations this natural deodorant comes in. Build your own bundle on their website is a great way to test multiple scents at a discount! Customer service is also great if you don't love a scent or you have a reaction to a formulation.

  • I love this brands products and mission however when I used their deodorant, it didn't particularly work for me. I loved the scents, price points, and the comfort knowing that you know what ingredients they use. I recommend others to definitely try it but the formula doesn't hold up for my level of activity.

  • The scents are great! For a natural deodorant, it's pretty good. *Not an antiperspirant, so keep that in mind. I still would say it doesn't work well for heavy sweaters, or high summertime. I find no natural deodorant is very good for existing in heat, but then again I don't carry them around with me to reapply.

  • If you are looking to make the switch to natural deodorant, I would recommend this as a good one to start with! They have a range of scents, and some for sensitive skin. They apply very easily. My experience with the brand for the first couple of months was great, but once my skin got used to this deodorant I would have to keep reapplying throughout the day and essentially had to move to another brand because it was no longer working for me!
