Reviews mention

  • Refined, natural-leaning fragrances
  • Gentle, sensitive-skin formulas
  • Smooth, comfortable application
  • Attractive, sustainable packaging
  • Inconsistent odor protection longevity
  • White residue and shirt staining
  • Occasional gritty, sticky texture
  • Body wash sometimes feels drying

Native earns praise for clean ingredients, standout scents (Coconut & Vanilla, Cucumber & Mint, Lilac & White Tea, Citrus & Herbal Musk) and comfortable, non-irritating wear for many, but reviews say performance is inconsistent: the deodorant often fades by midday, struggles in heat/workouts, can leave white residue or shirt stains, and some experience rashes or gritty texture. Reviews of body wash and hair care skew positive for gentle lather and pleasant aromas, though a few find body wash drying and shampoos underwhelming. Overall, Native is a good natural option if you don’t sweat heavily and will reapply; heavy sweaters may need stronger protection.

  • Love the scents and scent options but very disappointed in the effectiveness of the deodorant itself. Tried a few scents to see if the issue was with a particular one but nope, none worked for all day wear. Had to reapply a few times throughout the day which with Schmidt's and Little Seed Farm, I don't. This one is a pass for me.

  • Native Deodorant offers a natural, aluminum-free formula that effectively neutralizes odor without harsh chemicals. It’s available in a variety of scents, all of which are gentle and not overpowering. The deodorant glides on smoothly, providing all-day freshness while being gentle on the skin. With its clean ingredients and eco-friendly packaging, Native is a solid choice for those seeking a natural alternative to traditional deodorants. However, it may not provide the same level of sweat protection as some chemical-based options, so it’s best for those with lighter activity levels.

  • Native deodorant is a game-changer for anyone looking to ditch harsh chemicals without sacrificing effectiveness! It keeps me feeling fresh all day with its gentle, skin-loving formula that doesn’t irritate. I love the natural ingredients and the variety of subtle, amazing scents (coconut & vanilla is my fave!). Plus, it’s long-lasting and free of aluminum, so I feel good about using it daily. Highly recommend for a healthier, more natural approach to staying fresh! 💧✨

  • I appreciate that Native is making natural skincare products but the deodorant simply does not work. My armpits end up smelling after like 2 hours.

  • The deodorants have super great scents but they gave me a horrible rash! A great example of how just because something is "natural" it does not mean that it is not strong/irritating.

  • I enjoy using this product. I like that it is aluminum-free and that it does the job. It smells good and I primarily use this product in the winter.

  • While the deodorants in this brand line have fun different scent profiles I will say that they don’t do a great job actually combatting my BO. It also cakes up a lot even when you use only a little and makes your shirts dirty/gummy.

  • I tried this brand before. And it worked well for smell coverage. And they have nice scents. But I still sweat through it.

  • It's been a mixed bag regarding my experiences with NATIVE. I would recommend with caution. Some of the products offered simply do not seem to work as well as competitors. For example, I tried out the Winter Mint toothpaste, since I love the idea of reducing unnecessary ingredients/options. However, it only proved the point that sometimes you need certain ingredients to feel as if the product worked. I wasn't fond of the feeling on my teeth after brushing normally, and my husband didn't either. The flavor was meh. The deodorants do work, but for a much shorter period of time than I'd prefer.

  • Love the scents in the native line!

  • I tested one of Native’s holiday scents. I was pretty disappointed- it didn’t have a great or strong scent to start, but by the end of the day you couldn’t smell anything but your own sweat. I do not recommend this brand at all. It’s great to ditch bad chemicals, but it’s not an affordable or effective brand!

  • I used to use native but then I realized that they still used fragrance (unnatural) in most of their deodorant, etc.. didn’t like I paid sooo much $ just to still end up with bad ingredients.

  • it is ok not best at keeping sweat at bay but nice scent

  • Price is ouch but it’s the only deodorant that doesn’t burn my underarms!

  • Greats light scents that work really well to mask odor if I’m not sweating particularly much. I prefer it for cooler weather and swap to an antiperspirant during the sweaty months.

  • Can only vouch for Native's body wash, but it's good stuff! Clean, fresh, neutral smells + mega simple packaging. It's not trying to do too much, but does just enough.
