Milk Bar polarizes: reviews praise the in-store classics like Cereal Milk soft serve, Milk Bar Pie, Birthday Cake, and cake truffles as nostalgic, inventive, and delicious, yet many find products overwhelmingly sweet and note uneven quality in packaged grocery items. Reviews also flag inconsistent freshness and multiple failed or late deliveries, while applauding playful branding and gift appeal, plus solid gluten-free options.

  • I had the Red Velvet Mini Truffle Cakes because they were discounted through Imperfect Foods, and.... oh boy. I was prepared to find them overhyped and underwhelming, but they were perfectly crumbly, buttery, and delicious. I can't speak to any of the other Milk Bar products, but these were a knockout!

    Nothing!

  • The desserts are beautiful but very sweet. My nephews enjoyed the cake but I preferred the cookies.

  • I tried a variety of items from a birthday cake truffle, slice of pie, compost cookie, chocolate confetti cookie, peanut butter/cereal milk cup, and a birthday cake slice. It’s all delicious. My absolute favorite was the B-day cake truffles. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s incredibly delicious with being just the right amount of moist. There was a group of us tasting all the different items and the truffles ended up first on almost everyone’s list.

This was delivered so the peanut butter/cereal milk frozen dessert was melted and didn’t refreeze very well. I love everything, but the truffles were the best. I personally preferred the compost cookie over the chocolate confetti.

  • Having moved from NYC - and, at times, desperate for a Milkbar fix - I've ordered on several occasions. Their delivery selection has historically been limited but you can still get some of the greatest hits - cakes, truffles - and I have not had any issues with condition upon arrival! Four stars because the selection is still limited - some of your favorites you'll have to pop in a store to get your hands on - and shipping is pricey.

  • Their gluten free cookies and birthday cake is STUNNING! I order it for every one of my GF friends.

More GF, please! I’d love to see your gf cookies that you sell in store at Whole Foods and other storefronts.
