I love milkbar! I first came across the Milkbar location in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn as I got off the Subway with an intense sweet tooth! Luckily for me, I was surprised by a carefully curated menu of sweet treats. I bought one of their cookies and hopped on a bike to my friends apartment. I've gone back several times since!
The fresh treats at the physical locations are really good and fun. The pre-packaged cookies are ok but nothing like the fresh ones.

This is one of my favourite baked goods ever? It is fantastic and the consistency for that quality is dialled in.

You WILL be paying a premium. This is not an everyday cake or cookie but it will be fulfilling and give you some happiness.
I find milkbar a little too sweet, but I appreciate how accessible their brand is now. The birthday cake is a very cute easy gift, however not the tastiest.

One of my favorite places to buy birthday gifts. The cake truffles are so so good and they deliver across the country!

Milkbar is one of those places where you don't know if it is worth the hype and I completely agree. If you're a sweets person, this is one of the options for you. Personally Milkbar's dessert such as their birthday cake and their pie are too sweet for me and I do like sweets myself. It taste like diabetes in a bite and it's a one bite done deal for me. But IF YOU LOVE SWEETS. THIS IS DEFINITELY THE PLACE FOR YOU!
Store ice cream wasn't my favorite. The cake/cookies were kind of dry/stale. The pie was tasty though. The texture of the ice cream bought in pints from Whole Foods was a little icy and there were a few bubbles, but the flavors were creative and yummy.

I ordered from Milk Bar's website. I seen that I could "Pick a delivery date" BAD CHOICE. My delivery was for Friday, a day before the birthday party. On Thursday I got shipping notification and then on Friday I get more notifications that my cake would be delivered on Monday. First that's 6 days in shipping in the heat (it's been rather warm)....so besides not getting my cake for the party when I get it, it will be thawed and the frosting most likely melted or at least damaged. So my husbands 60th birthday party has no cake. But to top everything off I sent email on Thursday with no replies other than a reply that they are not open on the weekend and they'd get back to me on Monday so I called... can't leave a message and same response... Then I call on Friday again same thing... Worse customer service I've ever encountered and if you are going to offer a "deliver by date" you better be sure you can do that. I could have ordered a couple weeks in advance and stored it in my freezer but NO I had to use their useless "deliver by date" service.

No one answers the phone and you are prompted to email or leave a message but then there is no way to leave a message. You then email them but no one responds to the emails you send them.

I bought few times and every year but this time the worse experience ! No reaction to any email and also not from their partner for delivery Gift and order delayed Was paid for that day to deliver as premium - for valentines present- not arrived and now not worth a penny this gift Unacceptable, not possible to reach out and not getting back to any of the emails Wasted approximately 100USD and the worse a very bad experience and messed V-Day Also most likely it’s anyway trash as we most likely now unable to receive it due to personal planings Thank You Milk Bar You are fired …wills I surely not order anything anymore PS: smth more or less similar happened once before

I ordered a cake to be delivered on Jan 11th for my daughter’s birthday on Jan 12th. On Jan 8th I received a shipping notification showing it was picked up in Texas and was scheduled to arrive on the 10th. 10th came and went and the location of the cake stayed the same. 11th came and went with no cake. I emailed the company Saturday expecting to hear back on Monday..nothing! No cake Sunday or Monday. Emailed again yesterday with no response. If it comes today there’s no way I’m eating it because obviously it’s a week old now. Wish their customer service was better!

Terrible Terrible Terrible service and company. I ordered a cake for an august 1 birthday dinner, picking August 1 as the delivery date. I called Aug 1 to see why my cake did not ship and if i would have it for the dinner i was throwing. They dont answer phones requiring me to email. I emailed twice and did not hear back until August 3 (after the birthday dinner was held cakeless). They offered to cancel the order (which made sense since they never shipped the cake) and offered me a whopping $15 credit to make up for a birthday dinner that did not have a cake. They clearly think their customers are worthless. What they should have done was apologize profusely and send s free cake snd other items to try to make iup for their mess up. I would never recommend buying from them if you need something for an event or otherwise. They are bad in all respects.

Placed an order for my girlfriend's birthday (2 cakes, 1 box of Truffles, 1 Chocolate Strawberry Caramel Snap Box, and Party Candles) totaling $247.30. I ordered this 1 month in advance and even added a gift message acknowledging her birthday. I understood they make everything super fresh so last-minute shipping updates is completely understandable. I got no updates, the delivery date which was yesterday I sent an email after I called multiple times during the business hours where I got the message that they were closed. I received a response email on the day of the delivery in the afternoon saying: "We are genuinely sorry to learn that you have not received tracking information or a shipping confirmation for your order. Unfortunately, it appears that your package may have been lost during the transition into our courier's hands, and we deeply regret this oversight. As we investigate and implement measures to prevent such occurrences in the future, we want to extend our assistance to resolve this situation for you. Here are the options available: We can set up a reshipment for your order, scheduled to arrive on the next available date. If you no longer wish to receive the order, we are more than happy to issue a full refund." So what was supposed to be the finale for her birthday weekend and the party with friends and family, she got grocery store bought cake. Though the refund replaces the cost impact, this feels canned.

I orderd 2 seperate orders for 2 different Birthdays within the same week in March 2024, 1 for LasVegas & 1 for Denver, both orders never got delivered, never showed up. I traveled from Indiana for one felebration. such a dissapointment, I had to request a refund on each order. I do not recommend this company unless it is just a Snack for yourself with no importance to their treat. T.H.

Absolute worst customer service I’ve seen in I can’t say how many decades. Ordered a cake for $140. Was to be delivered 03/07/24. Tracking info at noon on 03/07/24 stated it hadn’t been delivered to the shipping company. Called tel number in email MANY times only to immediately go to an “after hours” voice mail stating I’ve called outside their business hours of M-F 10a-6p EST. I definitely called during their business hours. Told to leave a detailed message only to be hung up on after the announcement (03/08 1231p, 1237p, 116p, 312p, & 324p. 03/09 847a & 1059a - always being told I was calling after their business hours & never being able to leave a message). Sent an e-mail 03/08 & received a routine “someone will contact you within 24 hours). So far nothing. Called the flagship store in NY and man answering didn’t have anyway to contact the online side of their business. I asked for a manager & a woman who could not show any less concern said she would send a message over. No apology, no urgency, couldn’t care less about the issue. Web site still shows this WILL be delivered 03/07 and tracking info now shows “403 FORBIDDEN”. HORRIBLE customer service. They don’t care about the customer as they prove it by having no way to speak with anyone on the phone, their voice mail system is screwed ip, and as of yet I still haven’t had any reply to my email or online complaint entry. RUN AWAY. There is no way they are worth $140 and then add that the cake never arrived and I can’t get any answers.

Horrible - not reliable. Ordered a birthday cake to be delivered 10 days in advance as gift for someone in another State. They confirmed delivery would be made on scheduled day. Not only was it not delivered then, but delivery will be 4 days late. So no birthday cake, and a cake in the mail (UPS for a week (not fresh). Do not rely on orders from Milk Bar.

Do not order online. I submitted my order for a friend's birthday on December 12th for delivery on the 18th. I received an email from the support team stating they are not able to make the order on the 18th but can deliver on the 16th or the 19th to which I selected the 16th. No big deal. I assumed the order arrived because I received an email from Milkbar stating that it did on the 16th. On the 18th, when wishing my friend a happy birthday, they never received their $100 treats and when I sent a note to Milkbar they did not respond. When calling to find a solution with Milkbar, they issued a refund and offered to send the cake on the 21st which I was appreciative of. They emailed me a confirmation for delivery by the 27th. I would not trust this company to deliver anything you need on time. Terrible experience overall.
