I love Mila!! I picked up their frozen soup dumplings at Costco and was pleasantly surprised. When I opened the package, I noticed they were “half made,” so you finish cooking them by steaming at home. It totally makes sense why they taste so good—the dumplings aren’t fully cooked beforehand, so the final steaming keeps the skin soft and chewy. The flavor is really delicious, and even the kids love them. Definitely something I’ll keep buying!
Flavor hits. I bought two flavors: pho and pork from their website. Shipping made it to me safe and sound with everything still very much frozen. I see they have smaller packages in store and i wanted the larger ones from online. Like some reviews said, after streaming there isn't a ton of soup like you'd get from the fresh restaurant style soup dumplings, but the flavor is there (therefore, 4 stars). They puff up a bit when steamed but also quickly deflate. I also love that the packaging came with the steamer paper inside (saved me the trouble of getting some or finding some lettuce!). I bought the sauce trio too... Tasted just like the ones growing up, love that they had the ginger scallion one.
Dumplings are a good size and pretty flavorful. Not a ton of soup in them but still a great amount for a frozen, convenient option. Easy to make, I steamed using a steamer. Dip in some sauce and it’s a great quick meal.
These dumplings are fantastic - I always have a few bags stashed in my freezer for a quick dinner solution. I appreciate that they give you a paper steamer liner in each bag. They cook up perfect in a bamboo steamer. My favorite is the pork-shrimp variety, but the chicken is also tasty.
