Maison Louis Marie has fully earned its spot as my everyday go to for fragrance. I’ve been using the No.04 Bois de Balincourt perfume daily, both the full size and a trusty travel version I keep with me at all times, and I’m obsessed. It’s warm, woody, a little earthy, and just addictive. I also have the body oil in the same scent, which layers beautifully and makes the fragrance last even longer. Let’s be real: it’s often called the “poor man’s Le Labo,” and I mean that in the best possible way. You get that same elevated, boutique, gender-neutral scent profile, without the triple digit price tag. It’s subtle but memorable, and people always ask what I’m wearing. This is one of those products I’d genuinely be sad without. Elegant, wearable, and signature status worthy.

I have the perfume No 4 and I think it smells divine. I fell in love with the smell when trying it on at Sephora. I was gifted the bottle soon after but I have found the staying power to be kind of lame. It seems as if it stays for an hour and then the smell disappears. And I know you may not smell it on yourself but my boyfriend agrees the smell is weak and vanishes soon after. It’s a bummer because it is such a wonderful smell. I wouldn’t buy again solely because that is important to me. I’m not sure if that happens with the other scents though. May need to try the oil.
