Magnesium Powered Hydration

  • I got to try the variety pack and apple juice flavor. Based on flavor alone, I'm actually very impressed with the right amount of sweetness. I work out a lot and I do feel it helps with my muscle recovery, and sometimes you don't want to guzzle down a candy-sweet drink all the time. I'm kinda over the blue raspberries, and pink lemonades, and sour gummy flavors out there so these were refreshing for a change. The variety pack is good. Watermelon lime is tasty, more lime than watermelon. The watermelon note is the artificial/candy type, not like the real fruit. Blood Orange, Lemon Lime taste closer to light gatorade flavors, and the Ice Tea is pretty spot on to a lipton/snapple ice tea. All are good with ice. The new Apple Juice flavor definitely has a strong scent of apple but the sweetness is VERY mild/delicate (think rock or palm sugar). You won’t get that sharp sweet taste of a biting into a real apple, it tastes more like the lingering aftertaste of apple. My tip: I find that squeezing a lemon and a few drops of monkfruit gives it the tartness of a pink lady.

  • I've been using the Watermelon Lime flavor and it's had a noticeable effect on my recovery and mental relaxation. I take magnesium supplements to help me sleep but I can tell that the absorption and response to this powder after a workout far exceeds what I get from a nighttime pill. I prefer these as a 1x/day drink after coming home from work to help my body relax. I have other recovery sports drinks that I prefer. I wish the brand offered a larger package with scoops or a refillable option rather than the individual packets.
