Magic Spoon largely satisfies those seeking a healthier, high‑protein, low‑sugar riff on nostalgic cereals, according to reviews, but it is not universally loved. Reviewers praise its 13g protein per serving, gluten‑free/grain‑free formulas, fun flavors like Fruity, Cocoa, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle, and cheerful packaging; common complaints cite an artificial or stevia/monk‑fruit aftertaste, gummy texture that sticks to teeth, flavor inconsistency (especially some chocolate/peanut butter variants), limited satiety for some, and very small, pricey boxes.

Absolutely not worth the price! Kids didn't even eat it. I am sure it is healthy due to low sugar, but who can afford this as much cereal as kids eat?!

Wanted to love it but the flavor was off and led to some serious GI discomfort - didn’t finish any of the boxes I ordered. Wouldn’t try again.

Great cereal. A little expensive.

I like this cereal it's great to be able to grab a bowl of cereal I know it's good for you.

Absolutely adore this cereal. Especially now that limited flavors are available at Target. Tastes great with milk or just eating out of the box.

Starting buying this cereal about a year ago while doing a low carb diet. It tastes good and doesn’t contain sugar or gluten. I eat it at work to snack on without milk. For snacking I prefer the Birthday cake, blueberry muffin, frosted or Pumpkin Spice. The sweeter flavors are good with milk like Maple, Marshmallow Peanut butter chocolate and honey grahams. Some of these flavors are seasonal but I wish they made them available in my subscription box. I don’t care for the regular peanut butter but that’s really the only one that’s not appealing to me. Also, my box comes on time every month and in I get low and order now it comes really fast. It’s expensive but I’ve paid more for less and it’s something I really enjoy without guilt.

The cereal taste great. I first saw it at target and tried it my youngest loves cereal and he enjoyed this just as much as the regular cereals that have been out forever such as cocoa puffs, cinnamon, toast, crunch, etc. I was going to try ordering from the website, but I wish they had more flavors available. It seems sometimes I see a flavor in an ad online and when I go to purchase it, I cannot find it on the website.

Actually quite good for a protein cereal, i was expecting it to taste a little more "artificial sweetnery" but it is actually quite subtle

So it’s been a while since I ordered as I don’t eat a lot of cereal. My only complaint is more variety in smaller boxes. The new flavors I’d really love to fry but don’t want to risk buying full box and may or may not finish it. Purchased cinnamon flavor. Was really good but really should have purchased 2 Bowles instead of 4

Love magic spoon! Similar to some of my favorite cereals but I love that I can get my protein intake in

Love everything about Magic Spoon - the concept, the branding, the health component and the general 90s cereal era nostalgia! In terms of the taste of the cereal, I find the monkfruit sweetener is slightly overpowering which makes the cereal taste overly sweet/almost cold in the mouth. Wish it was slightly more balanced.

It’s OK but doesn’t taste like the original cereals. I’ll eat it but won’t buy again. It’s way too expensive to buy on a regular basis.

Tried the chocolate, tasted like cardboard. Never again...

My husband and toddler love this stuff but it tastes very artificial to me and leaves a gross film in my mouth. Not a fan...

Didn’t work for me - they have some sugars that I couldn’t tolerate and caused bloating (emailed with their lovely CX who confirmed that this ingredient doesn’t work with some people). Love the brand and experience, but for the price/bloating didn’t repurchase.

I’m not really a big cereal fan, but I grabbed this in the store so I could have a quick and easy, high protein breakfast before work. Wow! I love their cinnamon flavor and love feeling full and satisfied after just one serving! This is definitely a pantry staple for me, and I can’t wait to try their other flavors :)

I got a 5 box set of different flavors on a deal from their site and it really was too good to be true. The flavors were not good at all. Overbalanced with each individual flavor, so the chocolate one was way too strong of a chocolate flavor, as well as the sweetener they used. Same for the fruit one, and so on. They advertise that kids will love them, and so I made the mistake of thinking that I would be good with the flavors, but nope. It was somehow eating cardboard and overly compensated flavors for the lack of sugar at the same time. I wanted so much to love these because they were high in protein, but I had to give away the bulk of the flavors I got (which were similar to store-purchased ones).

I have been putting off trying Magic Spoon for quite a while because it seemed a bit pricey. I had tried other Keto cereals and didn’t love the texture of them. I was nervous that I wouldn’t like it. I finally decided to try it and it did not disappoint at all! I bought the fruity kind first. It tasted better than Froot Loops to me. I’m obsessed!! I’ve since ordered 6 boxes. This will be a staple in my home from now on. Well worth the price.

I was super excited to try this cereal for adults but boy I was disappointed. The flavor is faint in every taste and the cereal itself gets stuck in your teeth which is a super nasty feeling. I was very disappointed when the ingredients included casein for protein. I have a autoimmune disorder and casein is one of the things I am not supposed to have. I think the message is great to advertise to adults and bring back childhood, but this cereal cannot compete with everyday brands.

I enjoyed Magic Spoon Cereal and have repurchased a couple times but for me there is only 1 flavor that I actually enjoy. I also still think that the flavor profile of each cereal tastes like a protein and has sometimes a weird aftertaste. I think for a healthier alternative cereal is top tier but the flavor isn't quite there for me.
