I picked some spaghetti dust up at a boutique in Richmond VA thinking that it would be meh but would look cute on my table. I was only half right! It looks super cute on the table but it is also really delicious. It’s a simple product but it quickly elevates all pasta dishes. My only complaint is the small size. I would love to see it sold in a large size so that I can also try it out in the recipe listed on the container.
There's no doubt that this is a fine pasta. The problem is the manner in which it is marketed. After my first purchase, I was greeted warmly and, basically, welcomed into the family. I responded in a like manner and we began swapping recipes and memories of our visits to Italy. They even made comments that they couldn't wait to meet me in person. At Thanksgiving, I was sent a lovely box of pasta and condiments gratis and that absolutely floored me. At Christmas, I sent them an ornament shaped like a bowl of pasta. I also included an invitation to attend Midnight Mass in my parish, where I would be doing the readings. From that point on, all communications with the Carroll family ceased. I took out a small subscription to their newsletter and never received it. I wrote a letter to them about a particular type of pasts that they no.longer seem to carry and received no response at all. Their website hasn't been updated in a while.which leads me to think there are problems on that end. I no longer feel comfortable dealing with this company.
