  • I have recently tried Lakanto's Monkfruit Sweetener with Allulose classic white sugar replacement. I am using it interchangeably with the Splenda monkfruit sweetener. I think this one has less of a cooling feature.

  • High price and weird taste, I would not recommend unless you are really set on sticking to a keto diet. The chocolate chips use erythritol as a sweetener, which everyone knows is probably worse for you than a little sugar. They are more expensive too.

  • When baking healthier treats, I tend to reach for sugar substitutes that are still all natural. Stevia and Monkfruit tend to be my go-to favorites. Lakanto's products are the best quality that I've found on the market, and its Monkfruit sugar substitute is perfect for baking or adding a hint of sweetness to oatmeal, coffee, or matcha drinks. It blends perfectly, with a texture and taste more similar to sugar than others I've found. There is no chemical-laden aftertaste nor grainy texture, which is why it's my favorite.

  • I have PCOS, so finding no-sugar options that are healthy and taste good can be tough. I have tried a number of Lakanto products and would say they are one of my favorite offerings in this category. Their baking "sugar" really does bake up fairly similarly to regular sugar and can be used to make simple syrups. Their baking mixes, and in particular the brownie mix, is a pretty good substitute for their full-sugar analogs. Their flavored syrups do have a bit of that synthetic taste that I associate with low and no sugar syrup options; I actually find that making my own syrups with the Lakanto baking sugar results in a better flavor than their packaged flavored syrups. I do feel like they are leaving some really good opportunities for brand expansion on the table. Overall, I'm excited to see what this company does and how they evolve, but do hope they continue to put a focus on taste as well as nutrition.
