Shame on you Ellen and Portia!! You use deceptive tools to sign up customers for recurring shipments at exorbitant prices for an inferior product. Are you that hurt up for money? Puh-lease!!! Then when trying to cancel the recurring orders over the phone, customer service was quite aggressive and tried to hard sell me. Shame, shame, shame on you!! Fool me once! 👎

I have very dry skin and this was not hydrating enough for me. Since the ads said you could return for a refund I did so. They received it over a month ago and I have not received a refund yet, sent 2 emails and no replys to either...So not only am I out the money I paid for it, I also no longer have the product, and I paid to ship it back. What a ripoff

You have no shame ... You left your country and people and now, you want to extort them for money to line your pocket... Shame on you !!! Stay gone!

These products are marketed really well and I am their exact target customer, a 53 year old woman who wants to bring brightness and firmness to my aging skin. Unfortunately when I tried the product, I immediately started breaking out in acne. When I tried to return it, my emails were not returned. Finally I got to the online chat that the customer service rep was obnoxious and refused to help me since I was slightly beyond their 60 day money back guarantee return window (which if my first email had been returned, I wouldn't have been outside the 60 day window) I do not recommend getting involved with this brand since I think the product quality is fairly low and the customer service is terrible. Also they have predatory subscription practices and that is always a little suspect. Sadly I think this company is about turning a fast buck more than it is about making good products.

Ridiculous! The products are good and I love how my skin feels but after buying the deluxe kit at the discount, I got another shipment with larger bottles which I did not know was coming! They sucked me into a subscription!! I had to finally cancel by contacting them which took way too long after getting offers on other subscriptions! Now I gotta pay 3 installments of $107!! I’m not happy!!!!! No wonder Ellen isn’t well liked!

Ellen Ellen Ellen. No where in your very cute commercials does it say , “if you order the special introductory offer” you are signed up for a $91.75 SUBSCRIPTION!!!!!’ OMG!! Truth in advertising!!!! Now I have to pay for shipping this box back to you and waiting 3 to 5 business days for a $183.53 refund!!!!! And I just lost my job last week!!! But I never wanted a SUBSCRIPTION!!!!!! I just cannot believe it. I just wanted to try the product and now Jen from customer service said that I will be billed for 4 months before they cancel the orders. I was upset when I was writing to Kind Science chat customer service but not offensive and that is the result of it. If not I would have been charged for "only" an extra month. Now I will have to change my credit card in order to not be charged another 2 more times. Be aware. I trusted because I trusted in Ellen DeGeneres person but "Wow" what a downfall.

I would never buy anything from this vile horrible woman who treats her workers and non celebrities like crap, just watching her commercial made my skin crawl , only an idiot would buy her products

Kind Science is another pay before you try rip off subscription. I am so friggin disappointed in the brand and will never use it and never become a member because of the automatic membership clause. They still tried to sell me when I called to cancel!!! Good Luck but don’t try it if you don’t want $100s of dollars automatically taken out of your account.

This is an absolute scam. They just want your credit card information. Even if you try to cancel, they will kindly refuse. If you send back the product (with your own money for shipping), they will continue to invoice you repeatedly, even months later. Track everything if you have ordered from them. Zero star if it was possible. The products are of drugstore quality at best. Customer service is a joke. They are trained to give you the run-a-round. Do not waste your time.

if I could put a zero out of five stars I would! I agree with all the other reviews in this category. I don’t understand how Ellen DeGeneres is actually supporting this group and actively trying to sell it. It is a scam!! I did not sign up for reoccurring boxes, I did not, agree to any type of continuing service from Kind Science , however, like all the other people have said, Kind Science continues to steal money out of my bank account for the last three months. I have phoned the company four times and I’ve just gotten so angry with them. do not buy any Kind Science and do not sign up to receive the special that Ellen DeGeneres wants people to purchase. The products also come in really tiny portions so it laughs maybe two weeks. This is BS! PS, after finally fighting with the management. I got my money returned. Good luck.

So disappointed with Kind Science; feel scammed, despite Ellen Degeneres and Portia’s claims. It cost me a fortune, and I had no idea that I had signed up for a subscription. Will never buy again.

Be warned. First, you are not clearly told you are purchasing a monthly subscription. There is no way I can use all this product in a month. Second, I tried to immediately cancel due to the misleading sales process and was told I could not. I had to pay for the product and receive it. It arrived with absolutely no paperwork and QR codes that don’t work. Now that it has arrived I luckily purchased with PayPal so I could track the transaction and ask for return paperwork. The response, no paperwork but go ahead and mail it back. Get a receipt for the proof of mailing and wait 4-6 weeks. Email us if you don’t get a refund. Sorry, this all stinks. They have zero customer centric IQ.

Like so many others on this page, I really wish I had done more research and read reviews before my purchase. I had no idea that I was automatically enrolled in a subscription until I saw the charge on my credit card. When I called to cancel, my request was denied because they stated that by next shipment has already left and that I would three more additional charges on my credit card. I requested a return label and was denied. I was informed that I would have to pay for return shipping and a handling fee once they received the products. Their customer service was horrible and tried every trick in the book to make me keep by subscription. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I am sure there are better products with better service out there.

I did not request a subscription in fact I tried to email KS and was told that they could not see where I ordered. I am very annoyed and now I have to wait for this order, I did not ask for, pay for shipping to return it and then receive my credit. Buyer beware

I just ordered this product and it clearly says it is a subscription every 3 months with a pop up saying you agree to the terms. People need to read the fine print. I have not received the product yet but will let you know what I think after using it for 30 days by updating this review. ♡

I wish I would have Googled this before purchasing, as I agree with many reviewers that this company is a SCAM with VERY sketchy communication. You do not get a notification a shipment is being mailed to you, mailed terms & conditions, or any type of communication. When you cancel it is very unclear if it is actually cancelled and you have to pay over $35 for the initial shipment and your return. I would never agree to paying something in installments and somehow I was signed up for paying 3 installments on a product that was shipped to me, which makes 0 sense.

First this company a SCAM. They don’t tell you it’s a subscription. I was charged a monthly. They don’t tell you that one package is over $300. Had to call them twice to cancel, and continue to bill me. I only received one box from them. Absolutely ridiculous! I will definitely be filing a fraud complaint. Spoke with someone at my bank they agreed with me.

This company is a scam. I ordered the product and cancelled my subscription immediately. I have now received 3 additional boxes for monthly installments adding up for $277.12. I have cancelled my subscription multiple times and keep receiving the product and keep being charged. I was called a liar by Stephanie who said I never cancelled because she would have a note of it. I have email confirmations of cancellation and then boxes have kept coming. I can’t even return the product because you have to pay to return it. So they send you boxes without consent and charge you to return it. Do not order from this company. It’s been over a year and almost $1,000 that they have taken from me!

I really wanted to like this new skin care line by Ellen Degeneres but after using it for a few weeks my skin had a reaction to it. It became inflamed and irritated. I called to return it and they were very understanding about it so I don't believe it is a scam as other reviews have said. They immediately refunded me and said I did not need to return the product.
