Reviews mention

  • Velvety, creamy texture
  • Inventive, distinctive flavors
  • High-quality, clean ingredients
  • Strong dairy-free options
  • Overly sweet for some palates
  • Inconsistent flavor intensity
  • Icy texture after refreezing
  • Rich, heavy mouthfeel

Jeni's Ice Creams wins praise in reviews for its ultra-creamy texture, inventive flavors like Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Brown Butter Almond Brittle, and strong dairy-free/gluten-free options—so yes, the brand is good. Reviews also flag drawbacks: many find it very sweet and rich, inconsistently punchy by flavor, prone to freezer burn or iciness in pints, and expensive compared to alternatives.

  • Jeni knows what she’s doing with these ice creams! So many different flavors and they’re all so tasty and delicious.

  • I love Jeni's! Such a great quality flavor and a variety of unique flavors. Would recommend trying.

  • Such great ice cream! Really interesting and tasty flavors - the east coast salt and straw, really.

  • Truly the most delicious ice cream you can buy at the grocery store. Unique flavors, amazing texture, real ingredients. What more could you want? Fav flavor: Savannah buttermint.

  • What I love about Jeni's is the creativity in their flavor options and that they are constantly switching it up with new seasonal flavors. No matter your flavor preferences, they always have something for everyone and never disappoint.

  • Really delicious ice cream although a bit on the pricier side. I love their blackout, salted peanut butter, and brown butter almond butter brittle. Great texture, decadent, and their flavors are really spot on. I saw they just released many new flavors and some limited editions. I haven’t tried them yet, but the genmaicha marshmallow sounds amazing. Their ice cream shop just opened up in my city and it’s super popular. I went during the summer and it was a really cute space — everyone working there was very friendly. I usually purchase pints at Whole Foods or Sprouts though.

  • I love Jeni’s unique flavors and dairy free options!

  • Amazing flavor, packaging, and texture. This is my favorite ice cream brand. The one thing I would recommend is to include some kind of paper to lay ontop of the surface of the ice cream to prevent it from getting freezer burn.

  • Jeni's is the best of all the bougie pint brands we could find. Couldn't stand how companies like VanLeeuwen are trying to charge the same for less than a pint. If we' don't buy from a local shop, we're going with Jeni's.

  • I love all of Jeni’s funky flavors!! Best boston cream pie ice cream I’ve ever had. It’s definitely steep in price, but worth it!

  • Favorite ice cream! Love going to Jeni’s stores also! The smell of the fresh baked waffle cones is amazing. I enjoy the goat cheese and cherries flavor. So unique and delicious. Love how the ingredients are high quality, and you can sample prior to making a decision.

  • Yum! Jeni’s is so rich and flavorful every spoonful feels like a special treat.

  • Such interesting flavor combinations, clean ingredients, dairy free available - the perfect ice cream! Textures are creamy, crunchy, not too sweet- thoroughly enjoyable and worth every penny!

  • Eating this ice cream (honestly whatever flavor) feels like you're eating the batter of a delicious desert your grandma made. Every flavor is somehow nostalgic and I love that.

  • I grew up going to Jeni’s in Columbus with my Nana. Having it available in my grocery store in Portland is a dream! I can’t process dairy anymore but Jeni’s is top of the line if you can. Looking forward to their non-dairy options in stores as I enjoyed their non-dairy options in the shop back home.

  • Best tasting organic and great quality ice cream. Good marketing and aesthetics
