I find Homesick's candles VERY hit or miss. Some smell like nothing to me, some smell absolutely terrible to me, and the large majority just leave me underwhelmed. They're aesthetically pleasing and make for a cool gift I guess, but I never actually want to burn them in my own house. Bummer because I REALLY want to like this brand. 

Love their Boston scent! Fills up a medium-sized room very nicely.

I recently purchased the Homesick Roadtrip car air freshener. It is amazing, and a pleasantly surprising aroma for winter!

I placed a small order on December 9, 2023. They shipped part of it five days later but the rest just says "preparing for shipping". Not backordered, out of stock, delayed, nothing. As of January 24, 2024 there is no sign or update and I have received 0 response from customer service. I do not recommend this brand.

As someone who works in quality control, I have very serious concerns about the quality of the product if this is the quality of the customer service.

cute candle and looks nice however once you actually burn the candle it is not long lasting. Only a nice candle if you want it to look nice

The candles last a decent length of time and the NYC candle is definitely evocative of one of my favorite places.

I got the Iowa candle as a gift when I moved away to California and I was very pleasantly surprised. It smells sweet and exactly perfect, although far from the pig-farming central smell of Iowa; more reminiscent of crunch berry day in Cedar Rapids (iykyk). 

I can't wait to expand my collection! I haven't burnt my candle so I can't speak to any of the burn times or how it burns but the smell stays and they are gorgeous!

I love the unique fragrances. The Leo candle definitely captures the spirit of the Leo soul. The fragrance lasts to the last drop. Sometimes the sandalwood or patchouli fragrance can overwhelm some of the scented candles. 

I recently noticed a change that has me somewhat disappointed—specifically, the strength of their scents.

In the past, Homesick Candles filled my space with vibrant, evocative aromas that perfectly mirrored their descriptions. Whether it was the crisp, chilly air of a winter's night or the warm, inviting scent of a cozy cabin, each candle seemed to capture its intended vibe effortlessly. Unfortunately, with the most recent batch I've purchased, the scents seem to be significantly less potent.

For instance, I recently bought their "Beach Cottage" scent, which used to transform my living room into a serene coastal retreat. This time, however, the scent was so faint that it was barely noticeable unless I was standing right next to the candle. Similarly, the "Paris" candle, which once filled my space with the fragrant notes of café au lait and freshly baked croissants, now offers only a subtle hint of its former glory.

Purchased for other people; it's a cute idea, but not very inclusive. The collaborations are interesting - Harry Potter, Elf, the MLB. Scent is subjective, so it's hard to please everyone. Cool idea though. 

The scent itself is very mild. I wish the top and mid notes were a bit stronger. 

I bought the "United Kingdom" candle. It was thoughtfully packaged and super insulated to prevent breakage. The candle itself arrived in a cool box with the Union Jack. The candle smelled exactly like sticky toffee pudding and Hyde Park after a good rain; a very warm scent. 

Good marketing horrible product. I bought the Tuscaloosa candle and it smells likes nothing. It smells like red shed. It’s so cheap looking. A glass candle with a sticker slapped on it that says tuscaloosa. It has one wick. Not worth the price at all. Stay away. You might as well buy a candle from a luxury candle brand if you’re going to spend this price or buy a candle from Walmart and it will be better quality.

cons: i couldn't reutilize the glass because it became black / burned so I had to through it away - I was thinking about reusing it to put some flowers or my make up brushed but impossible 

obsessed with these candles!!! perfectly encapsulates smells from different places of the world, or even simple things like "book clubs" or "date nights." 

I'm not one to go overboard when it comes to candles, but Homesick Candles have managed to capture my heart (and my nose) with their unique city-inspired scents. As someone who moved from Los Angeles to New York City, I was thrilled when a friend gifted me a Los Angeles Homesick Candle, and I quickly became enamored with the idea of owning a piece of both cities I adore.

Upon lighting the Los Angeles candle, I was instantly transported back to the West Coast, with its blend of citrus, jasmine, and ocean breezes. The scent was nostalgic and soothing, reminding me of lazy days spent on the beach, the vibrant sunsets, and the energy of the city I left behind. It was as if I could close my eyes and be back in L.A. for just a moment.

Eager to complete my collection, I purchased the New York City Homesick Candle, which offers an entirely different yet equally captivating sensory experience. With notes of apple, bergamot, and concrete, it encapsulates the essence of the Big Apple - the city that never sleeps, where dreams are made, and the hustle is real.

The quality of Homesick Candles is commendable, with each candle hand-poured using a natural soy wax blend and cotton wicks. The packaging is simple yet elegant, making them great gifts for friends and loved ones who may be feeling a little homesick themselves.

Now, with both the Los Angeles and New York City candles displayed side by side on my shelf, I feel a deep sense of connection to the two places that have shaped me. Homesick Candles have created not just beautifully scented candles, but also sentimental tokens that evoke cherished memories and emotions.

In conclusion, if you're looking to reminisce about your favorite city or gift a loved one a little piece of home, Homesick Candles are a perfect choice. The delightful scents, high-quality craftsmanship, and emotional connection they provide make them an exceptional addition to any home or office.

The branding is perfect, the burn time is super long, but the scents aren't good and definitely don't remind me of the location unfortunately 

I LOVE the idea of this brand and how cool the candles look, but the actual smells just don't do it for me. I think these are great gifts, great for decor, but none of the scents have been spot on for me.

I received the "New Home" candle as a house warming gift. It smelled great, lasted a long time, and has a nice aesthetic. 

I was also able to reuse the glass after the candle was finished to hold my candle wick cutter and lighter. It's a great gift!

Got these as a gift but disappointed because soy candles are pretty toxic, from their farming, manufacture to burning. Will stick to beeswax.

I received this as a gift. The packaging is super cute, but it burns fast & the scent isn't as strong as some of my other candles. It's a cute gift idea, but I'm not sure I would repurchase for myself.
