Hiyo is appreciated for its great taste and being a good alcohol alternative, especially for those in recovery, with some users reporting feeling more relaxed after consumption. However, the 'float' effect advertised is not consistently experienced by all consumers, with some feeling no effect at all. A significant number of users have reported unpleasant side effects such as headaches and dehydration, and the high price point is a common concern. Additionally, some consumers have critiqued the taste and expressed dissatisfaction with the customer service.

Love the packaging how it is clean and simple. I tried the watermelon lime but it really did not taste so much watermelon in my opinion. The price is a bit high which is a downside of this drink.

I bought these after starting a medication that can't be combined with alcohol. I was going to a social event and thought these would be a nice way to enjoy a fun drink with adaptogens. The "float" helps with social anxiety the same way alcohol might. The price makes them more of a special treat than an everyday drink. But if you compare to the price of a canned cocktail, it's similar. I bought a few boxes of the variety pack to switch things up and to have on hand for barbecues and other gatherings. The blackberry lemon was my personal favorite. I didn't get the headache others experienced. One star off because of the artificial sweetener aftertaste, although I appreciate it's not super sugary. Beautiful design.

First, off the packaging of these is incredible. Judging a book by its cover, I immediately wanted to try these. I've only tried one flavor, but it was a fun alternative to drinking without making it seem or me feel like I wasn't.

I really don’t like leaving bad reviews but I drank a little less than a can and I’m currently on the couch dizzy and nauseated from this drink. The taste wasn’t great. I wouldn’t recommend these, but if you do, tread carefully.

I was looking for an alcohol alternative as a way to relax, shut my brain off and fall asleep. I tried this product and was pleasantly surprised at how it helpful it was but only after 3 cans. I loved the taste of the Peach-Mango. Second fave was Watermelon Lime. Bonus, I can buy local at The Vitamin Shoppe, BOGO 50 % - 09/30/24-10/27/24

So I sucked it up and purchased the Hiyo Blackberry Lemon. As a diehard wine/ cocktail guy I must say Hiyo does leave a mark on your average weekends. The flavor, the consistency, the after taste on the palette is something that leaves you guessing. Definitely something to consider as it promises a "float" like experience that can last a good hour or two. Slightly impressive considering there is no alcohol in this drink, but now lets go over some of the negative aspects. First and for most the price. Not tempting whatsoever especially when there are endless amounts of alcoholic selections to compare to this new kid on the block. The "float" can seem more like a tease rather than a feeling to say the least, I wonder if the other flavors deliver a better "float". To enhance the experience I did add a bit more Theanine as I am well familiar with this ingredient, but lets be honest, who has time to add more ingredients to a product that should already deliver the selling point, Lord only knows how alcohol delivers what it promises. I would like to say that the while this product is promising in many aspects especially health wise, the price points and what it can "potentially" offer aka "the float", really come up short. If there were more incentives, maybe tryouts for different flavors or other alternatives of this product I might give them another go. However I might just have to sit back and see if Hiyo might step there game up. - IG Feliciano1

Some flavors are on point while others miss the mark. I’m always looking for a great NA drink alternative and usually give a brand 2-3 tries before making a decision. I’d be more likely to use this as a mixer and fix it up a bit if I was to purchase again.

I really loved these drinks and they took the place of an after work High Noon alcoholic drink for me. I liked that they were less sweet and had good adaptogens in them. I started getting daily headaches and even two strong migraines where I lost sight for an hour or more and thought it was from stress or hormone changes. I figured out it was from these Hiyo drinks that I was having almost every afternoon. When I read other reviews, quite a few people experienced headaches after drinking. Once I stopped drinking them, the headaches slowly went away. It's too bad because I really did like the drinks even though they are way overpriced. Just a warning, watch how your body reacts to all of the strong ingredients included in these drinks.

Most non-alcoholic alternatives have not quite hit the spot for me, but Hiyo did. I tried the blackberry lemon and was really pleased with the taste and I felt the "float" they advertise. I also loved that this drink incorporates supplements and adaptogens that I utilize in other parts of my daily routine. I will definitely be purchasing more are trying the other flavors!
The branding and aesthetic with the ombre colorway were what initially attracted me to hiyo! It supposedly produces a delightful sensation that the brand likes to call “the float"-which I definitely felt while I was sipping; an ultimate mood booster! The peach mango was delicious and I can't wait to try more of their flavors!
Tried the hiyo blackberry lemon sparking social tonic and frankly…it was really hard to describe the taste of this. My first sip kind of reminded me of berry/grape cotton candy (not super saccharine but whimsical?) with lemon notes over the top/back end. I’m not a big fan of erythritol (or stevia) but this drink also had organic cane sugar as a sweetener so the aftertaste wasn’t as offputting as other drinks I’ve tried with only erythritol, but still not my jam because of this.

Not sure if I’d order this again, but I like all the added functional ingredients: ashwagandha, L-Theanine, functional mushrooms + other adaptogens/nootropics

I picked these up at my local sprouts to try as I am always interested on what’s new in the NA Alcohol World. And I was having pre menstrual induced anxiety so I was hoping that “float” would be just what I needed I got the Watermelon Lime 4 pack($13) and drunk one in the midst of my anxiety. I’ll preface this by saying I live in a high stress environment 24/7 and have very poor mental health and usually EVERYTHING I try to take to manage this does LITERALLY nothing, (even antidepressants) so I was really counting on this. I drank one can and by the end of it I definitely felt calmer! However it was short lived by all my stressors. BUT it definitely worked wonders for bedtime when pairing it with dinner! As a person with also sleep anxiety and revenge bedtime procrastination, I was able to drift more easier into sleep. Cons: It is basically seltzer water though and was looking for something a bit more sweet so I hope they’re headed there in that direction in the future. You’re gonna need at least 2 a day to feel something which isn’t economically sound as they are expensive. ***I am going to experiment with pairing this with my favorite cbd gummies to see if I can get the altered state I really need.

My Daughter and Son-in-law turned us on to these drinks. We have cut way back on our alcohol. My kids are athletes and they may on special occasions have a alcohol drink. I trust their recommendations 100%, they are adamant about what they put in their body's. Us not as much! But, we want to be healthier and stronger too. I love the hiyos while cooking or in bed reading or watching a movie. My hubby too. My goal was not to get a buzz but to change my bad habits. The ingredients are SAFE and won't damage your liver.
I really wanted to love this stuff. I drove further than I normally would to find it & thought it was very expensive. But if it had the float effect, then ok. Bought 2 4-packs. Both myself and my husband tried 2-3 and felt NOTHING. The only thing that floated was the cash leaving my wallet. A multi vitamin and some fruit juice would have the same effect. The flavors were fine, but would never purchase again.

I started drinking HIYO as a replacement for wine while participating in “dry January.” I have continued drinking them and it’s now March! I do not ever feel a float, but I do feel relaxed after 1-2. My husband has also started drinking them and my daughter as well. She has noticed better sleep. I have noticed less anxiety and clearer thinking. At first I thought this was due to less wine consumption?- and I’m sure this is some of it. But then I read that the ingredients in HIyO also help with clearer thinking and better mood. I love them and recommend them. Don’t buy for a buzz or float- but just on a relaxing night, try replacing your glass of wine with 1-2 and see what you think. Also- they’re 30 calories and taste great. :)

Was really excited about this, but unfortunately there is no “float” feeling as described for me. I drank one and a fourth can and then got real sick to my stomach and threw up. Could be just the carbonation, I guess. But I have a very strong stomach and never really get sick like that. It was very surprising. It did make me sleepy.. but I feel like melatonin would do the same thing.

I'm basing this review on one can. Watermelon lime. I'm 8 years sober and I bought this thinking it was just another seltzer on the market but maybe with fruit juice and some other natural additives. Then I get home...take a drink and start reading about the float. My eyes go big. Did I just relapse!!? Please rethink marketing heavily on this "Float" thing. Some people feel it some people don't. It's a relaxing drink I would have preferred I not known anything about it or that it was created to be an alcohol alternative because now I'm equating it to alcohol and not sure I want to buy another can. Can you allow your product to just stand out on it own? Retract the float ...I see addicts are already downing massive amounts just to feel something. Do you want your product to go the way of Kratom ...it this a designer drug. .or is it just a beverage? Drug or Beverage. Until I find out I'm not finishing my can I had 3 sips of. It was delicious but I'm unsettled. Rethink how you are selling this please. Update: I have a headache. If there's a physiological reaction to your product then it's a drug. I'm concerned Hiyo is selling a product that is a drug to people in recovery as an alternative and that's very concerning and makes me mad. I've worked very hard for my sobriety. If you are in recovery do not drink this product. It hasn't been deemed a drug...yet.

you should really look more into the ingredients of things you ingest instead of blaming it on marketing.. which you said you didn't even look into before purchasing. it says "feel the float" On the can. anyway do you drink coffee at the meetings? you mustve relapsed at least 365 times in those 8 years according to your logic

Basically overpriced nasty tasting carbonated juice which does not give you any type of "float" feeling. whatsoever.
