I have been watching and thinking about this tub for a couple of years and finally ordered one a few weeks ago. I was sold once I saw the video of how it was made. I’ve got it set up in less than 10 minutes and it works fantastic. There’s a small learning curve on the fire but now everything works great. So glad I finally got it and set it up at our cabin next to the great Smoky mountain national Park. when I had some trouble with shipping, both owners called and emailed me and the problem was fixed the next day.

My dad, Sam Curtis, got one of these for our East TN Cabin and it's AMAZING! I even like to sit in it unheated on hot days, as well as being able to heat it up this coming winter. Amazing quality!

I've had a Goodland wood-burning hot tub for two years, and I HATE IT, especially in winter. All told, it takes about 4-5 hours to fill and heat up and more than two bundles of dried firewood. Advertisements say it takes 1.5 hours and "an armful of brush." That's laughable. It's hard to control the heat; after waiting hours, you get in, and suddenly, it's way too hot, and you have to add cold water. These are things that would be true of most aluminum wood-fired hot tubs. The things that are stupid and bad about the Goodland hot tub: -You drain it by pulling a rubber stopper at the bottom, which is underneath the backrest. Imagine this: after your soak, you left the water in because it was so much trouble, you thought, of course I'll do this again in the next couple of days to make it worth it. But a week goes by and you haven't had 6 hours at home to chill and it's getting murky. Maybe it's really cold and you know it's bad to leave the water in there if it's going to freeze. You have to take the backrest out, then take off your shirt and reach down up to your shoulder into the cold, murky water to unplug a tub stopper. The hardware broke on the first try, so you have to use pliers to get it out. A very unpleasant chore. Now we just drain it when we get out and the water is still hot. -Even with both the endcap and the cover, it doesn't fully close. There are lots of gaps for debris and especially mice to get in. Multiple times my hot tub prep has meant cleaning out mice nests, which involves taking everything out, tipping it over and scrubbing everything. I've found a dead mouse in a hot tub in my day, but this is a really nice habitat for them. -The toploading firebox kind of sucks. You're standing directly above the flames and sometimes smoke to maintain the fire, which you're doing every 15 minutes for 4 hours. I feel so duped by this $7K product. Do not buy it unless you are a professional vacation rental host. It's nicely made and feels fancy, but the function of it is bad.

Hi Thisis I, I'm so sorry to hear you are frustrated with the functionality of our Wood Burning Hot Tub. You raise a lot of good points here that I think are important to respond to, our goal is to offer our customers a great experience, both in product and in service. I think what you might be experiencing here is a learning curve that we haven't provided enough support on, as your troubles are quite simple to address. If you are still experiencing issues please let me know and we will be happy to provide more coaching or find a solution with you to resolve you pain points, the last thing we want is someone to not enjoy the product! Regarding the firewood, if using dry seasoned firewood, you will need to fill the stove box 2-3 times during your 1.5 heat up time. It’s advised to split the wood into 1-2” diameter sticks to speed up the heating time, if you put if large unsplit logs it certainly can take longer to heat. Heat up time is directly related to the intensity of the fire. Once the water gets to around 90F or 32C, stop adding wood and the tub will naturally get to your desired hot tub temp. The temp is easy to control with a little practice. We have full video with tips her e- https://youtu.be/Zyb8_Nq57XI?feature=shared Regarding the drain, the plug is optional. We suggest using the drain hose + valve as the stopper, it’s a lot easier to drain that way. You can see how this is done in our video here. We do have a new, more robust stopper, happy to send you one https://youtu.be/fJ1I0cI0pQs?feature=shared With the Rigid End Cover and Folding Cover on, it is fully sealed. There are some very small 1/4” gaps that are required for tolerances, but I have never heard of mice getting in before, but with a product that lives outside these are possibilities for sure. If you are storing it for extended periods, I have seen people flip the tub upside down to prevent anything getting inside, but this would be for months on end without use. The top loading firebox is crucial for safety and function, it is a lot better than a side-loading version that can let burning logs rolling out. There should not be smoke coming from the firebox, something may be blocking your chimney. Operating the firebox and having fire is a necessary part of a wood burning hot tub and I understand this task isn’t for everyone. This is part of the experience of owning a wood fired hot tub, and you should need to tent to it about 3-4 times over the course of 1.5 hour heat up time. I am so sorry that you are having this poor experience with the tub, and you feeling duped is the worst possible outcome we can hope for as a company. We are listening to your concerns, and will look for ways to improve our education on how the product works to our potential customers. Please contact me, Craig, and we can work on resolving your issues here Thisis, we will be happy to come to a resolution that works for you. Thank you Craig

The hot tub arrived in perfect condition. Kendra in Logistics stayed in touch to make sure that we got our delivery. The hot tub is attractive, easy to use, roomy, and solid. We got the steps, cover, ash scoop, and hand shower. A really cozy set up. Highly recommend.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review, I hope the accessories are making the experience even more enjoyable!

I bought the Goodland garden hose with high expectations and I wasn’t disappointed. I have gone through a lot of garden hoses and haven’t had a hose that could last more than one or two seasons. In the longer run a Goodland h is cheaper than buying hoses that do not last or perform. I’m a believer.

I bought a hose from Goodland and I’m gratified if not surprised to say it’s the finest hose I’ve ever handled. The construction is durable, soft, and easy to coil. Even washing the hose off is easier than any I’ve owned before. And the brass fittings are easier and nicer to use. Goodland makes great outdoor products.

Oh great, thanks so much for letting us know. So glad we could share our passion of products with you. -Craig

We cannot praise our Goodland Tub enough! After investing in one for our short-term rental, we've received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our guests. The tub's design is exquisite and truly unique, crafted from high-quality materials that promise durability and easy maintenance without the need for harsh chemicals typical of traditional hot tubs. Its user-friendly interface makes it accessible even for those unfamiliar with wood stoves, and the customer service is exceptional. Goodland provides a wealth of online resources, including instructional videos for setup, usage, and cleaning. Additionally, they offer an optional instruction plaque for the stove box featuring a QR code link to a video tutorial on heating the tub, which is especially useful for short-term rental purposes. It's evident that Goodland prioritizes both their products and their customers. Finally, there's nothing comparable to relaxing under the stars in our Goodland Tub. If you're contemplating getting one for yourself, rest assured, you won't be disappointed.

Tub came perfectly packed and took about 10 minutes to unpack and move into place! Everyone is obsessed with it! The tub heats up so well, but watch the video on how to pack the fire box as it was really helpful. The water SMELLS amazing. The tub more than lives up to our expectations. Their customer service was truly outstanding (our cottage is a bit remote, so shipping needed some problem solving on our end and Craig was responsive and creative with offering solutions.) You can just FEEL the quality and thought that went into every detail of this tub and customer experience. We are an earlier customer as well, and even 5 months into having a brand, they knocked it out of the park on every interaction. We will absolutely purchase more from Goodland, can't wait to see what else they come up with!

Seriously no complaints. I know anyone will LOVE this tub and this company. The fire does take time, so you have to be willing to slow down and enjoy that part of the experience as well. But you won't regret the purchase, so worth every penny.

Our family and organization's practice of slow intentional living has been elevated with the introduction of not one but two goodland woodfired hot tubs. This tub was the highlight of our family gathering over the Christmas holidays and serves as a highlight for many guests that come to experience AIKA. Beautiful design, incredible functionality, and a wonderful team of people making it all happen. We are grateful to have found GOODLAND!

Our GOODLAND soaking tub is not only functional behind my expectations but it is simply beautiful and a humble showstopper. It’s sleek lines blend right in our garden and we love the wood burning aspect, no plastic (yay) and zero added chemicals. Just pure joy and pause…magic!

Nothing could be better and my only tip is make more time in your schedule for soaking + pausing because you’re going to love this tub.

Our family purchased this tub back in the spring of 2022 and it has truly been the most incredible addition to our household. I did a lot of research but chose this tub for its shape mainly, I wanted something we could recline in. But every part of it exceeded our expectations. The craftsmen ship is outstanding, the aesthetic fits perfect on our deck. It’s easy to use and clean. We live off grid in the forest and all our water comes from our large pond: pumped to a tank, sentiment filtered and gravity fed to the house and now the wood fire tub. We have always dreamed of having a hot-springs in our back yard and now we feel like do; Wild water heated by wood. Our 18 month old absolutely loves it and its a perfect size for our family. Worth every single penny. A dream come true. Thank you.

They say it takes 1.5-2 hours to heat but in our experience no matter the temp outside it takes typically closer to three hours. We just plan ahead and make sure we time it when we want to soak.

Thanks so much for the feedback Callie! Love it, and such a good vibe in the photo. We suggest if you want to speed up heating time, use thinner pieces of wood. Its all about the intensity of the fire, and thinner wood splits (like 1-2" dia) burn a lot faster. I've also found stirring it less, makes it heat faster, I just give it one big stir before I get in. Cheers, Craig

We purchased a Goodland tub almost a year ago and I tell everyone it's been the best purchase we've made in a long time! Part of the year it's used by guests at our seasonal rental cabin, and then we enjoy it ourselves during the winter off-season. The fact that the tub can be disassembled & moved is what makes this possible. Everything is both durable and beautiful, and we look forward to enjoying our tub for years to come! This is a beautifully designed wood fired tub. When we set out to build our cabin hosting business, we knew that we wanted to work with like minded, creative individuals who care about user experience. From beginning to end, it is a process so elegant and simple. From tub assembly, to filling and heating, to that long anticipated soak, down to draining and cleaning, it has been carefully thought through to provide the best experience a guest and host can ask for. We highly recommend this product to any other hosts who are looking for alternative chemical-free products to modern hot tubs. Our guests can't stop telling us how much they love the quiet soak under the stars.

Honestly any time we have had any question or issues Craig and his team have been 100% on the ball. As a small business it is so important, and we are very proud to have Goodland as one of our suppliers.

Bought this tub last year and it’s the best thing I own. It’s super high quality, easy to heat up, looks gorgeous. Takes about half an hour to fill with my hose. Load it up with wood, leave for 45 min come back and add more wood and it’s ready to go. Stays hot for hours. I use the water to water my garden after I have soaked a few times. I did a lot of research before making a purchase this big and I am extremely happy with this choice.

The Goodland hot tub has been a great addition to our home. We use it as much as a cold plunge as a hot tub! It's beautifully made, sturdy and easy to use.
