Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, no‑makeup makeup staples like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the universally complimented Glossier You fragrance, which many call a signature scent. However, reviewers flag inconsistent makeup payoff and longevity, polarizing skincare efficacy, packaging flaws (leaking body oil, cracking lipstick caps, messy Cloud Paint tubes), reformulation disappointments (Balm Dotcom, You perfume), limited shade range, and some products feeling sheer, basic, or short‑lasting.

During COVID I bought their blush, mascara, and eye brow pencil to help feel put together even when I wasn’t leaving the house. 2 years later and they’re the only products I use

Nothing
I really love the cloud paint for its intense and buildable pigmentation, and the You perfume smells great (though fades throughout the day). There boy brow is solid as is the lip balm, but most other products are nothing to write home about, imo.
Feedback
Somewhat overrated, but they have a few products that are gems. I wish they had a greater focus on skin care and things that are proven to be good for skin.
I've been to one store in person that was definitely overwhelming. There are a lot of product options and the company is perfect for a "no makeup" look, however some products don't live up to the hype. Would recommend balm dotcom as the #1 product.

More accessibility and better prices
I’ve been a solid glossier customer for years at this point, tried almost all the products and have loved some and not so much others. My favorites that I will continue to buy are the cloud paint and milk jelly. Everything else I’ve tried and can live without. I really wanted to love the perfume, but when I got it it felt too juvenile — not pushed enough. Would love them to do more discovery in this space.

I think people would really love something unexpected from glossier… I’m not sure what but even a change to the logo or packaging or just change of pace… I feel like people are seeing glossier age a bit.
I've tried every product from this brand; it can be hit or miss. My favorites are the Milky Jelly Cleanser (gentle, contact lens friendly), Boy Brow, Cloud Paint (beautiful shades, product lasts forrrrever), Balm Dotcom, and surprisingly, Wowder.

Skincare products. Drugstore or clinical products are more effective at a similar price point.
Don’t love the skincare products. The makeup is okay, but you can get something better in store for the same price or lower. Nothing special, but good for makeup minimalists
I can't live without my Boy Brow + Balm dot com — two staples in my makeup bag.

Would love more skin-first products.
My all time favorite perfume brand is Glossier YOU. I generally am not a fan of pink pepper or musk but this one is game changing! Love the body hero wash too - its a delicate orange floral that I love.

Glossier has been making changes to become more sustainable and inclusive. Id love to see them move to refillable where possible and to PCR for the resins/plastics.
I love their balm dot com lipglosses. I've tried multiple flavors and their subtle color is perfect for that no-makeup makeup look.

Would love to see tester sizes and more discounted sets.
I've used their boy brow and skin tint foundation. It seems like they really stand by their "no makeup makeup" look as I literally didn't notice a difference using their products. If I'm spending money on makeup, I want to see somewhat of an difference in my appearance. Seems like this makeup brand is for people who are already hot and want to pretend like they wear makeup.
I don't understand all the hype around Glossier. Regular brand like 1000 others

Didn't change my skin
Glossier takes the effort out of applying makeup. I feel like with other brands I have to struggle to look nice, but Glossier makes it look like I put more effort in than I have. I like the creamy consistency of their lip and cheek products. My friend likes their perfume. I look forward to trying their skincare.

Need a good skincare routine for makeup to adhere nicely, need wider shade range for various skintones
lovely aesthetic/branding, but products need some work

i've used boy brow and their brow flick. both were great but i noticed some issues that made me less inclined to re-purchase. for example, the boy brow requires the LIGHTEST pressure for it not to look messy and the brow flick clumps.
Really like their beauty bag and the products are high quality.
Overall, I really like Glossier. They definitely don't make products for people who want high coverage or too much pigmentation, but their washes of color are always gorgeous. I can't live without their boy brow and cloud paints, plus their perfume smells divine.
Perfume is incredible, but a lot of the makeup leaves something to be desired.

Obviously this brand is for the more natural makeup look, appreciate their skin/skincare first approach. If you want something long lasting however this brand may not be for you. The one product I do keep coming back to is the balm dot com that have a great range of flavors and tints, I tend to have one in every bag

Sometimes it feels like you’re paying for overpriced makeup that doesn’t last all day, would love to see some innovation in color cosmetics that still feels true to the brand
Love the packaging for everything. My favorite glossier product hands down is the Balm.com!

I’ve tried Glossier’s make up, skincare, and You fragrance. I’ve visited the flagship store in Los Angeles and I’ve even bought merch. Everything from this brand from the design and concept down to the actual formulas is *chef’s kiss* Perfect if you’re into quick, minimal make up looks that put your skin first. If you like full beat, this is not for you.
LOVE the experience and brand mission. The brick and mortar stores are such an awesome time, and the team is SO helpful. I purchased cloud paint a while ago and it functions as a blush and lip color-- the best! Lasts quite a bit of time.
