Glossier impresses in reviews for delivering easy, natural-looking makeup—standouts include Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the much‑praised Glossier You fragrance—while drawing criticism for ultra‑sheer coverage, inconsistent longevity, and packaging flaws. Reviews say the brand is good for “no‑makeup makeup” days and everyday scent, but skincare feels basic and shade range and recent reformulations (You, Balm Dotcom) disappoint some users.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
Aesthetically pleasing products but unfortunately their sustainability is non existent. I like their boy brow and cloud paint - their quality is decent and the price point is on the high level based on the product size you get.

Look into sustainability and environmental impact. Make your small sized products bigger so they last longer.

Glossier has good products at a decent price point. I’ve gotten their boy brow, cloud paint, lipgloss, mascara, and their perfume. I like it all and find that it’s nice for a makeup minimalist like myself. The reason this is not a 5-star review is because multiple times I have ordered from them and received the wrong products in the mail. It’s frustrating to wait longer for something than you should and also to have products delivered that are the wrong shade and unusable.

Better shipping/ correct products being delivered.
Great prices and decent products! I think some of their products are a bit over hyped, but their makeup definitely worth trying.
Great for everyday wear! Love the cute minimalist packaging!

Expand colour lines and options for more skin tones and types.
I love the stretch concealer and skin tint duo. It’s perfect for a no makeup makeup look. It keeps your face looking natural but covers a lot of the things you want to cover. Also love the cloud paint blush. Perfect with the skin duo as well!
Such a fun no make up makeup brand. Great quality products and great for young teens learning about makeup and skincare.

Sometimes product formulas aren't solid.
I've used Glossier since 2016 and in my opinion they have 2 products that really stand alone - Lash Slick & Stretch Concealer. Lash Slick separates the lashes, never clumps, and adds length, but the best part to me is how easy it is to remove. The fibers come off with warm water in an instant. Their Stretch Concealer is the perfect amount of coverage for me (very light), and makes my undereye area look hydrated.

Besides the two products mentioned above, the rest of Glossier's products that I've tried have been middle-of-the-line. I've tried their face wash, serums and masks, foundation, eyeshadows and liners, and perfume. All have been good, not great! But I'll keep coming back and trying new items because of my two faves.
Have been using boy brow for years and keep re-stocking it! Also, have the Glossier blush but personally, it's not pigmented or long-lasting enough, and won't purchase it again.
Feedback
As mentioned, they could improve longevity on the skin, especially the blush, it fades a bit too quickly in my mind.
I love their products, but you get very little product for what you pay for. Shipping is usually pretty quick too

I love Glossier's branding and think they're doing something very different from other skincare and makeup brands. They're more of a lifestyle brand, but they do have some fantastic products that I love: specifically boy brow, their eyeshadows, and their lip products.

I love Glossier makeup products, but in my experience, they dry up quickly. I wish they had a longer shelf life, especially since you have to purchase Glossier directly from their website. That being said - I do love the brand and their products and if they're your go-to and you're not ordering off multiple platforms, they're definitely worth the money.
During COVID I bought their blush, mascara, and eye brow pencil to help feel put together even when I wasn’t leaving the house. 2 years later and they’re the only products I use

Nothing
I really love the cloud paint for its intense and buildable pigmentation, and the You perfume smells great (though fades throughout the day). There boy brow is solid as is the lip balm, but most other products are nothing to write home about, imo.
Feedback
Somewhat overrated, but they have a few products that are gems. I wish they had a greater focus on skin care and things that are proven to be good for skin.
I've been to one store in person that was definitely overwhelming. There are a lot of product options and the company is perfect for a "no makeup" look, however some products don't live up to the hype. Would recommend balm dotcom as the #1 product.

More accessibility and better prices
I’ve been a solid glossier customer for years at this point, tried almost all the products and have loved some and not so much others. My favorites that I will continue to buy are the cloud paint and milk jelly. Everything else I’ve tried and can live without. I really wanted to love the perfume, but when I got it it felt too juvenile — not pushed enough. Would love them to do more discovery in this space.

I think people would really love something unexpected from glossier… I’m not sure what but even a change to the logo or packaging or just change of pace… I feel like people are seeing glossier age a bit.
I've tried every product from this brand; it can be hit or miss. My favorites are the Milky Jelly Cleanser (gentle, contact lens friendly), Boy Brow, Cloud Paint (beautiful shades, product lasts forrrrever), Balm Dotcom, and surprisingly, Wowder.

Skincare products. Drugstore or clinical products are more effective at a similar price point.
Don’t love the skincare products. The makeup is okay, but you can get something better in store for the same price or lower. Nothing special, but good for makeup minimalists
I can't live without my Boy Brow + Balm dot com — two staples in my makeup bag.

Would love more skin-first products.
My all time favorite perfume brand is Glossier YOU. I generally am not a fan of pink pepper or musk but this one is game changing! Love the body hero wash too - its a delicate orange floral that I love.

Glossier has been making changes to become more sustainable and inclusive. Id love to see them move to refillable where possible and to PCR for the resins/plastics.
I love their balm dot com lipglosses. I've tried multiple flavors and their subtle color is perfect for that no-makeup makeup look.

Would love to see tester sizes and more discounted sets.
I've used their boy brow and skin tint foundation. It seems like they really stand by their "no makeup makeup" look as I literally didn't notice a difference using their products. If I'm spending money on makeup, I want to see somewhat of an difference in my appearance. Seems like this makeup brand is for people who are already hot and want to pretend like they wear makeup.
