Reviews mention

  • Effortless, natural finishes
  • Compliment‑magnet fragrance
  • Long‑lasting brow gel
  • Buildable, seamless blush
  • Sheer coverage complexion
  • Inconsistent scent longevity
  • Fussy, fragile packaging
  • Limited shade inclusivity

Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, “no‑makeup makeup” staples—Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, Stretch Concealer, and the cult Glossier You fragrance—delivering natural, dewy finishes that draw constant compliments. Reviews also flag weaknesses: very sheer coverage, mixed skincare efficacy, packaging hiccups (leaking tubes, fragile caps), limited shade inclusivity, and scent or longevity concerns with You and some eye products; several note reformulations that feel less hydrating or shorter‑wearing.

  • I love the lip colour - it’s beautiful and stays on really well.

    Feedback

Could use a bit more moisturizing elements

  • This rating is for the Glossier You perfume. That is the only product I have purchased from them. I love the smell and I always get compliments. The packaging is also very fun!

  • Wasteful.

Make all options refillable and recyclable.

  • It is an easy skin care routine. I really like their cheek balm that's my favorite. It just wasn't doing anything really to improve my skin. It's a great starter for those trying to figure out their skin routine.

  • I’ve tried a range of Glossier products and really only wanted to repurchase the brow gel, mascara, liquid eyeliner, and the body oil wash. Everything else I’ve tried (particularly in their makeup line) felt very average. On the plus side it was always easy enough to apply and a budget friendly enough alternative to drugstore makeup. Probably more suitable to makeup beginners who don’t have a specific style yet/don’t have expectations of how they want their makeup to perform and want to err on the side of “no makeup”. For example, my sister is 26 and only recently got curious about makeup so I recommended for her to try some glossier products to get a sense of her natural preferences. Re: the products I like: Brow Gel: I prefer my natural brow shape and texture so this just enhances the color consistently. Would not necessarily recommend for anyone who really needs volume amplification. Liquid Eyeliner: Love how thin this line can get - pretty fluid and not difficult to correct. Mascara: This seems to be hit or miss for people but I like this for every day wear. I do a little under 2 coats (so one full coat and then correcting areas I want to boost) and I find it wears decently throughout the day. Smudges if I don’t prep my oily eyelids with setting powder first. Body oil wash: great scent and doesn’t irritate my dry, sensitive skin. Not sure I want to pay this price anymore though.

While I know the brand prefers a “natural” look, the sheer quality to a lot of their makeup products is a deterrent for me. I don’t want to pay this price if I need to use loads of product to get the effect I desire.

  • Glossier is a lot of hype for meh product. I used to swear by their brow products but since I found out how they treat their employees- I stopped using their products

Don't be racist. Make better products.

  • I love Glossier and have tried most of the products that they offer. Not every product is for everybody, but I've found that they can offer such a narrow selection of products because they do their homework and are able to offer a really decent one-size-fits all version of something. I think for that reason they tend to appeal to a younger audience who can get away with minimal skincare and makeup, but there are some hero products in the line that can work for a range of folks.

I would recommend that Glossier start aging with their customer base rather than keep courting 20 year olds.

  • I love the cloud paint. It blends very well into my skin

  • A lot of their stuff is hit or miss. Of course, I love their boybrow but the one I LOVE the most is the mascara. I've tried to replace it with something cheaper because $~20 (with tax) is a lot for mascara, especially since this formula dries out REALLY fast. But my oily Asian eyelashes just love this stuff. Legit been on rollercoasters with this stuff and my eyelashes were good as new at the end of the day. I've bought 3 of them already.

    Feedback

It dries out too quickly :(

  • I ordered a few things from Glossier and have loved them both! Their customer service was outstanding. I originally ordered something that I wasn't a fan of after receiving, but they told me to keep it and keep trying it out and maybe it would work for me. You know what? It did! I'm a loyal customer now!

  • Great brand, great packaging. The products were okay. Not my first and preferred choice. love their brow gel and cream concealers though.

    Feedback

    More shades for makeups/concealer.

  • I have tried their Cloud Paint blush, Lid Star eye makeup, mascara, concealer, and Skin Tint so far. I have liked all the products I've tried - definitely not heavy makeup but good for the "no makeup makeup" look. They're very nice in hot weather as well. The Cloud Paint Blush especially lasts forever as its so pigmented.

    Feedback

I wish the brand had more in-person stores or locations where you could buy their products. Sometimes I would rather match shades for new products or buy replacements in person so I could verify the shades themselves rather than guessing online.

  • I have been a glossier fan since inception getting deliveries to the UK via friends in the US. Overall, I love most of their skincare products and consistently use the milky jelly cleanser, the solution, the priming moisturiser (rich one in winter), the superbounce and superpureserums and tries almost all balm dotcoms bar lavender. They have helped me simplify my routine - I now consistently use the milky jelly cleanser and know I can rely on it and it is easier to get out of the house in the AM. They work perfectly under my makeup and various foundations used throughout the years and will not peel. My skin texture has improved over time with this simplification too. I also find that they make it easy to travel as the products are relatively light, the cleanser comes in a travel size and I know they are reliable. However, I’m not as big of a fan of their makeup (with the exception of the stretch concealer) and think there are better and/or cheaper alternatives.

More scents in their bodycare selection and more colours in makeup collection

  • Overpriced and not the best for skincare or makeup but very cute packaging and I am a sucker for their scent.

    Feedback

Better product quality at lower cost. Stick with the hits!

  • Good for a causal every day makeup look but many products don’t last all day. Cloud paints are 5/5. Skin care is lacking.

    Feedback

Cloud paint would benefit from different packaging. The squeeze tube can be messy.

  • I love the brand, I love the packaging and the minimal aesthetic of everything. I love that the brand is for natural beauty, for no makeup makeup looks and for skincare first. I love pretty much every product that I’ve tried from there (the boy brow and generation g lipsticks are my absolute favorites). I have light skin but the products look very skin inclusive to me, and I love the representation too (every product is shown on light medium and dark skin tones, and different nationalities as well). The price is between drugstore and high end makeup, so I can’t complain there.

    Feedback

It would be great if I could get this product somewhere other than just their website (ulta or target or something). There’s times when I need the product asap but it’s only available through places that ship the products. I also wish the cloud paint didn’t squeeze out so much, sometimes too much comes out and I end up wasting product.

  • Used the cleanser, exfoliant, and sunscreen. All felt really good and definitely helped keep my skin clean. I love the sunscreen it’s not too thick and doesn’t leave streaks.

  • Great products, great design and packaging. Slightly overpriced for what it is, but was pioneering in terms of using less makeup.

    Feedback

Slightly better usability (often extra cleanser or lipstick is left but not accessible)

  • As a freshman in college who wanted to be cool more than anything else, I thought I'd hit my peak when my friends and I took the bus to Melrose for a Glossier pop-up event. Of course, we were all too broke to actually buy anything, but walking around made us feel like we'd made it. And then we went out the back, where we happened to run into a friendly and sympathetic trucker who snuck us free samples out of a box when no one was looking. To this day, the rose balm dot com is my favorite lip balm I've ever used - not sure if it's because of the beauty of the memory or the lushness of the product, but it has stayed in my heart.

Price could be more accessible for college students.
