Gainful earns positive reviews as a customizable protein and hydration brand that tastes good, mixes cleanly, and offers vegan options with clever flavor boosts, yet its personalization feels generic to some and several users report chalky texture or underwhelming results. Reviews also flag inconveniences with separate flavor packets and occasional subscription frustrations, while strengths include gentle-on-stomach blends, clean ingredients, and enjoyable flavors like Cookies & Cream, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Berry, and Tropical Mango.

The personalized experience the brand creates is an amazing way for customers to buy in. Their formulas are effective and being able to order a bunch of different flavors for free is amazing. I wish they had a lower calorie option for people cutting weight since having to mix with milk (for a decent texture) is not calculated into nutrition facts, and these cals can add up. Packaging is amazing and the dietician access is a great touch. The website can be a bit clunky and I am not the biggest fan of the name, unfortunately. Everything else is very well executed. Could also drop the price a bit since LTV of customers is much higher through subscription model, but consistent offers and ways to earn credits combats this a lot.

I've had a Gainful shake every morning for the last year and have not lost interest. The flavors are great, one scoop keeps me energized and full through lunch. Product always arrives on time and I haven't had any issues with receiving the right product. I do use the hydration from time to time but not consistently.

I have not taken advantage of the free nutritionist so that's on me. but maybe there is a way for them to call me and really try to engage me? I don't know.
