I just tried one of their conditioners for wavy hair in the last month or so and was pretty underwhelmed. I know it's typically part of their three step process, so maybe it's because I was using it with products from other brands that I didn't see much of a difference.

I don't usually follow celeb endorsements, but Dianne Buswell a dance on the UK show Strictly Come Dancing, raved about this product on her vlog. Now I am a hair chamelon, my hair colour changes faster than the weather, so I though I would give it a try. I took the quiz/questionaire thing on the site and got a shampoo and conditioner forumulated for me. When it arrived i was really surprised with the how good quality it was. My hair felt better and I had less colour fade. The product smells nice too.

I did not like the shampoo. It made my hair feel cottony and dry and made it fall out more than usual. I went to cancel, and they offed me 20% off to stay, so I reformulated and added a hair mask and hair serum to my next order, and the next order went through at full price with no discount, and not enough notice that it would be processed. Very unhappy with the company and it's ethics.

I absolutely adore my custom hair products from Function of Beauty, I have been using it for about a year now and my hair is in incredible shape compared to how it used to be. My hair now has definition instead of frizz, my waves are back, the product has lasted me a long time as well. It is no longer in my price range as I am a full time college student who is currently unemployed, but once it is affordable to me again I would love to go back to using it. I have received two sets of shampoo and conditioner in my time as a customer and I will say I do not recommend the deep shampooing/conditioning option unless you only wash your hair very infrequently, I noticed it made my hair fall out which was not an issue with my original formula that didn’t have the deep shampooing/conditioning. Like I said prior, I have two sets of product and I am still using my original set as well as occasionally using the new set if I want a deeper wash. A little goes a long way and I don’t say that lightly, I have long and thick hair that I used to overly apply product to. Their customer support was also super helpful and responded very quickly when prompted with any concerns.

I love the product. My hair has never felt better. But it seems like ever since they expanded to be in store at Target, they don’t focus on the subscribers anymore. I’ve had multiple mistakes on my orders and run into multiple bugs on the website. I’m considering switching to something else.

Been using for a couple years. The products are great.

I like their serum and cowash. Their hair mask sucks. Their website sucks too. I can’t change the fragrance, I didn’t receive my free treatment like they promised. I do not like their very inconvenient website.

I have ordered from function of beauty three times. I have ordered from them once a year for the past three years as their 16oz hair products usually lasts me a year. The products themselves are amazing! I would never go back to other brands. I would recommend them to everyone as they are very specific to fit your needs this means that the products function very well.

Having straight/wavy, fine hair but with a lot of hair, it is always hard to find a shampoo that doesn't wear my hear down. The first formula did not work well enough so I ordered another formula to remove the 'deep conditioning' hair goal. After that, my hair began to feel lighter and it definitely got more volume (which I wanted). something that was always a problem was that I could not wear my hair down without having it all over my face. With this shampoo it's not doing that anymore. Proof of change is my dad (who would never notice anything about my hair). Stating after about 6 weeks of using the product that my hair was different with more volume.

I’ve used Function Of Beauty for a while and I love it! You get to customise your own product based on what hair type you have meaning it’s always freshly made for you! You pick the colours, fragrance and what hair goals you have to help pick fresh ingredients! Function Of Beauty is a must have!

I liked being able to customize my hair care, especially the scent. The shampoo and conditioners caused a lot less color bleed than what I had been using on my dyed red hair. The first order went great. Good stuff all the way around BUT The second order had a wrong product. The automated response made it REALLY clear it was automated. I knew my order had been delivered, that's how I knew one of the products was wrong. Hopefully this will get resolved quickly.

I was super excited to get this product after I heard about it from a friend. I thought it was going to perfect but it really wasn’t that great at all.

I really do love the products. They do make my hair feel really healthy. They're so expensive though, and I don't like reordering. I've done a repeat order, but didn't get my conditioner. $50 is a lot for one bottle is shampoo.

my overall experience with this, Brian is absolutely amazing. I love the sense and I love that it is in stores on online. What I would say is this brand is for a certain hair type and and I do advise people to use it for the first time to see if they like it.

I love how smooth it makes my hair. The smell is amazing.

I think that they're really fun and the customisation element is wonderful. The issues I had were an error (likely on my part) led to me getting the wrong skin type. I got a small reimbursement for this. I also felt disappointed that while using it in a heat wave my hair still became incredibly dry and tangly. It did however work a restoration miracle with sufficient conditioner.

I placed an order and was looking forward to trying the products as it seems like a great concept especially as I have frizzy hair. However I never actually received my order not did anyone contact me about the missing order.

I have been using the shampoo and conditioner for quite a while and love it. I love the different scents and the products in general. They always make my hair feel soft and super clean.
