I purchased the bed frame about two years ago. Thrilled with the prospect of being able to expand is the reason I spent loads on a couple of wood panels and steel + ratchet straps. 

Well, I received my $400 expansion kit the other day. (After waiting 3-5 weeks, mind you) Not only is the wood finished in a shinier, cheaper looking finish, the edges are no longer exposed but now have a veneer applied to them. I would be okay If I had been informed of the update (it's an EXPANSION kit for people who already own the product) Or if the images across their website had been updated with the new edge finish, (they weren't) I was supremely disappointed after waiting many weeks to receive my expensive board and steel.

Even funnier, when I went to leave a review on their site - I couldn't leave a review because it bugged out every time, on two separate browsers. Tried again today - still bugged out.

I own the shelf, the couch, the bedframe and was planning on continuing to expand as I upgrade my home in the future. However, this feels really dishonest, and makes me feel like I want to sell all my furniture from them so as to not promote this business behavior.

This is the third time I've had issues with their quality control, logistics and products.

Their solution? Return the expansion kit. 

You've lost a customer.

Be careful to buy. The site will say 8 to 9 weeks but that is only to another local holding shipper. In reality it will be close to 4 months. I just received the sectional and the quality is just poor, it smells like plywood, has bad stitching threads everywhere in colors that are not part of the color (red instead of sand) , stain marks on the side of one piece.  Not great quality - not great service - def would not recommend

We ordered the 3-drawer dresser on 10/29. The item arrived 6 weeks later, damaged. The packaging also had a “return” label on it. Very strange. We contacted Floyd immediately and were told we would receive a replacement item. This was two weeks ago. We are yet to hear from Floyd about when the replacement will be shipped and who will haul away the damaged item. Two weeks - radio silence. The broken pieces also showed cheap quality material (NOT WOOD as advertised!) and really shoddy work. If we didn’t need the dresser urgently, I would return it all. We still might given it has taken two weeks just to hear back from Floyd. The worst customer service as well! 

I advise folks to stay away from the dresser or at the very least call Floyd to verify what they say on their website about their products. Some also seem to be made in China, not the US. For the expense, go to Room and Board. Similar prices and furniture that comes assembled. We made a big mistake. 

STAY AWAY !!! We ordered the bedframe online on August 1st 2023. The year is now ending and we still do not have a bed. Our receipt said that the item will be shipped within 8-9 weeks. It is now 21 weeks after the purchase and the shipping company just told us today that the item is "missing"!!! They were supposed to finally deliver it on the weekend, but they never came (after we had confirmed with them and paid for a local expert assembly company to send people to assemble the bed). They are also completely unresponsive! 

I also suffer from chronic low back and sciatica problems which have been exacerbated by sleeping on a mattress on the floor (getting up and down from the floor puts extra pressure on the low spine). My symptoms have been very bad recently. So in addition to a the cost of the item that we never received and is now missing,  we have already paid $400 for assembly that was scheduled for the day of the "fake" delivery and we may incur further huge costs related to our health (physical therapy for my back, chiropractic sessions, and possibly even surgery; I'm seeing a surgeon next week).  I will make sure that Floyd Home pays for all costs incurred. I have already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will pursue legal action if I don't hear back. 

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I bought a couch in August and the delivery was delayed until December. Then they delivered it to the BILLING address not the SHIPPING address and took no accountability of the issue. I had to go back and forth between Floyd and their 3rd-party delivery service trying to resolve the problem for weeks. Neither of them took accountability for the mistake. Then they refused to ship it to the right address and said I needed to order ANOTHER couch and wait ANOTHER 3-6 months to receive it. When I finally said enough is enough, it took them months to refund me for it and did not receive a payment until late February. I do NOT recommend this company. STEER CLEAR. 

As with most furniture, the table came heavily packaged. Would love to see Floyd take the lead on reducing packaging and or finding more sustainable ways of packaging their products!

We have the Floyd table and not only does it look great, but it's super durable. The table has been through multiple moves and many dinners and it shows minor wear. It literally takes minutes to assemble, regardless of who you are.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Had to deal with a several week long nightmare just to return a damaged item.

I can't stress enough how badly you need to stay away from these guys. I wish I'd read reviews before ordering.

I ordered a bed 5 weeks ago and have not received anything from Floyd. I contacted them as soon as the far end of the delivery window was lapsed. They assured me I would have shipping confirmation by July 17. Again, the ship date has passed with ZERO communication from the company. I reached out again asking for refund options and they responded with a generic “We will check with the warehouse to see when it will ship.”

This company is a fraud.

My experience with Floyd Home has been nothing short of a nightmare. It's been over seven weeks since my original estimated delivery date, and my order has been delayed three times with no clear communication. To make matters worse, I still don't know when my items will actually arrive. This has been the worst shopping experience I've ever had.

Absolutely terrible customer service (nothing but bot responses to chats, slow email responses, no phone number). Ordered a bed 3 months ago, nothing. Tracking website doesn't work. Can't locate the delivery, and now the site says my order is completed. This company seems unable to manage its workflow, delivery systems, and customer service.

I Love myself some modular furniture. Their shelves are good looking and solid, and you can mix and match combos to fit your space. Also the perfect length for records.

Floyd does everything it promises - beautiful, long-lasting, comfortable furniture that's easy to build and easy to move. I'd buy another couch from them in a heartbeat!

I have the bed frame and headboard and love it!! It was definitely an investment but knowing that I'll be able to change the size if/when I move apartments and the timeless design I just know I'll have it for a really long time. Love the sleek, simple design and it stays together well with no moving or squeaking like other bed frames. 

The bed is not good. The planks are made of cheap veneer that chip away pretty easily, the straps are very difficult to tighten as you have to reach way underneath the bed once it's already assembled, which leads the planks to shift considerably over time. Speaking of assembly, it's not easy at all, and almost impossible if you don't have an extra set of hands to help. The headboard gradually slides back over time and has to be readjusted every month or so. And, though it's not necessarily a problem exclusive to the Floyd Bed, those corners are going to wreck your shins in the middle of the night, guaranteed.

I have a number of Floyd products. They have a pretty specific aesthetic style; you either like it or you don't. It appeals to me, but I get that the sort of minimal, deconstructed design isn't for everyone. Their products are fairly hit or miss: the shelving system is great, and I've expanded mine over time; the bed is a nightmare and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The Shelving System is very well done: the actual shelves are made from sturdy metal, the hardware is quite elegant, and the ability to adjust height is a nice plus. And, of course, the modular nature is a fantastic benefit. I've expanded my set of three low shelves twice now, so I have a long set of five low shelves along a wall. Highly recommend those. Finally, the stools are very nice. We mostly use them as plant stands but I used to use them as nightstands, they're great as a footstool, and they've seen use as an extra seat in a pinch when company comes over.

But whatever you do, do not buy the bed. It will ruin your life.

my robot vacuum often gets stuck under the bed due to the framework/hardware. 

i get complements on my bed frame all the time! it’s great for people who prefer a low to the ground mid century modern inspired bed. it’s also easy to disassemble and reassemble if you are moving. 

I have both the Floyd couch and the standing desk. Both have stood up well to daily use and I was impressed that I was able to assemble both on my own with no assistance. The couch is a bit narrow in terms of the depth of the seat. Love the Floyd brand and ethos around creating modern, high quality furniture that lasts.

I think their customer service is quite good. Lots of random sale, you just gotta watch out to get the best sale!

I bought their bed frame and the bed side tables. I have had it for 3 years now, it’s still holding up really well (3 movings)! I think you need to be careful with the edges since it’s plywood but once you set it up it’s good to go, pretty sturdy! I want to try their couch but I haven’t had a chance to

I’ve been a Floyd fan since I started following the space. However, I’m completely blown away now that I’ve made my first purchase. I bought the oval coffee table over the summer and it was the most intuitive experience I’ve ever had putting furniture together. I’m sure the bed or couch are a bit more complex, but I’d imagine the same level of thoughtful design has been applied. I don’t know if it came with instructions, but not one time while putting it together was I concerned about if I had misplaced them. It’s now in my living room and will be in all my future homes. They also have a lot of great business practices, I’m excited to be able to support.

I have the Floyd desk (which I believe has been replaced by the table). I love that the top surface is made from linoleum, which has been super resilient to everyday use and really easy to clean. The desk itself only took a few minutes to assemble since the legs attach to the top via hand screws. I'm really happy with the quality and sturdiness of the desk, and I think it will last me quite a while. 

Probably one of the few pricier furniture purchases that I believe is worth it. If you're on the fence about buying from Floyd, I'd say go for it! 

Overall, I'd describe Floyd as a brand that delivers excellent quality furniture featuring widely-appealing, timeless aesthetics. Their products are expensive, but for certain items, I think the expense is warranted, especially when looking at other comparable brands. I've also found their shipping and packaging to be perfect!
