Our Story Everhem’s origin story begins back when our husband and wife co-founders, Adam and Haley Weidenbaum, were visiting Stockholm, Sweden. During their time there, they learned that "hem" is the Swedish word for home. They were inspired by the double meaning of the Swedish hem and the English hem for hand-sewn products. As a nod to the lasting quality of our products, “ever” was added and formed Everhem, to mean hand-sewn window treatments that will last forever in your home. Based in Los Angeles, Everhem is an online window treatment company that allows you to build custom products guided by the design principles of Haley, one of LA’s top interior designers. Everhem is here to rethink and redesign the world of window treatments by threading together curated offerings, a simplified process and an experience to remember. Meet Our Founders Haley began her career as an interior designer who has become known for her California casual yet sophisticated design aesthetic. After many years of helping residential and commercial clients alike, Haley realized that just about every client needed custom window coverings but were largely clueless on how to make it happen. Haley quickly developed a knack for designing beautiful, custom drapery, roman shades and woven woods for her clients and honed her craft over the years. More often than not, when Haley posted project pictures on her social media accounts, people commented asking “where did you get those drapes?” This was Haley’s “aha moment.” Haley expressed her vision to her husband Adam, a graphic designer specializing in branding and marketing with a background in finance. Adam helped Haley conceptualize the business as it became clear to Haley that people want to create custom window coverings that cohesively blend with and complement the design aesthetic of their space. Together the couple created Everhem.
