Element Brooklyn draws strong reviews for effective, subtly sophisticated scents and thoughtful refill formats, indicating the brand is good at delivering quality hand care and home fragrance with eco-minded packaging; however, feedback flags candle burn issues (soot, high flame, off-center wicks) and occasional dryness in certain soaps. Reviews also note standout products—Pumice Stone Soap, Mandarin and Hinoki/Aesop-inspired washes, and Jardin Azteca diffusers—while warning that some fragrances run weak and the thick pumice formula can jam dispensers.

Love the smell and consistency of this soap! I think the price is reasonable compared to alternatives. The only downside with the experience was shipping - they offer same day shipping in NYC and my order qualified, but it took almost 5 days to receive.

Big fan of the Element Brooklyn soap refills. I order them regularly for our household and they consistently deliver on price-to-value also when testing new scents. The quality feels considered, the refill model means less waste and clutter, so would recommend to anyone already using a refillable soap dispenser.

This does not even compare to any Trudon product. When not lit, it vaguely resembles the Abd El Kader candle but it burns very dirty - with a huge flame, no matter how often you trim the wick, giving off lots of soot and smoke. It gives off so much smoke when I light that I open the windows as I am worried it will set my smoke alarm off. I have high ceilings but would definitely not recommend lighting it in a cozy, low ceiling place as you would get black soot marks on the ceiling. I am also concerned about the potential fire risk given how they burn. I would ONLY recommend using this with a candle warmer and not lighting it given the high flame and smoke. Yes, their refills are way lower price point ($20) and they have found a way to make refills that fit in the original container, (I wish Trudon had refills for their glass candles and not just for their alabaster ones) and you can pretend to splurge on quality things while buying cheaper products - which effectively is posturing, but for whom? - but like all dupes or fakes or imitations, the quality is much lower and you get what you pay for. If you don’t want to spend $135 on a Trudon you would be better off buying a candle from the plethora sold at Marshalls or TJ Maxx or Home Goods or the farmer’s market. They burn cleaner. Have not tried the soaps.

Element has lovely scents; that match closely, if not exactly as the inspired fragrances. Bought the candle, body soap refills and the hand soaps. The pumice soap feels really nice & doesn't dry out your hands. Highly recommend!

I bought this soap and it smells nearly identical to Hinaki by Le Labo! A matching moisturizer to go with it would be great ; Thanks for the fast shipping and handwritten note!

I recently purchased the Mandarin soap refill and just filled a new dispenser next to my Aesop Resurrection Hand Wash. The scent is very similar, (though all the notes are not identical). Very happy so far— here for the cost savings and earth-friendly refills.

I love the idea of refilling my candle glass jars. They smell very much like the original, only criticism is the wick is not centered and doesn't burn evenly and clean. I also ordered the Mandarin soap, nice smell but I found it very drying.

I've tried their hand soap for the first time in the resort and I loved it. I have to ask and buy one and you will be surprised about the smell.
Element Brooklyn makes hand soap and hand care that just feels right. The scents are clean and grounded — nothing overpowering, just subtle and really well done. The packaging looks great too: simple, sharp, and something you actually want out on the counter. It’s the kind of stuff that makes your place feel a little more put-together without making a big deal about it. Honestly, it’s just solid — well-made, thoughtful, and surprisingly affordable.
I purchased their candle refill (Baies dupe) and hand soap refill (Aesop resurrection dupe) — both are excellent for the scent and for not breaking my bank! I will be comparing products with the original since it's advertised that way. Candle refill burns a little faster imo and the scent is 75% there. Not as layered and complex as the original. I'm really happy with the throw considering the price, just don't expect it to be identical to Baies. Hand soap is really nice and doesn't dry out your skin. Scent is quite prominent which I appreciate! Overall has been a very positive experience and I'll be trying their other products.
I started out by trying the dupe for Reverence hand soap. I am now a faithful client and sold on the dupes for Hinoki body and hand wash, Pomegranate Noir candle, the Exfoliating Aesop hand soap, Resurrection body lotion, AND the Reverence hand soap. The packaging from Element is environmentally conscious and easy to store. I hope to see the options at Element expand!
I was searching for a refillable hand soap that smelled expensive but wasn't and the Element hand soaps delivered. I love the scent and the exfoliating hand soap is very nice to wash with. I have been washing my hands more often than usual since purchasing...
Element Brooklyn is a standard brand in the luxury home fragrance market, offering a unique blend of elegance through its hand soaps and candle refills .
As they've expanded their lineup, I've gradually been switching out many of my products with products from Element. Obsesssed with their body wash and hand soaps and the candles are good too {they don't have quite the same burn quality as some of the more expensive options but can't complain as some of them cost literally a tenth of the prize}

Only bought candles and diffusers and had a mixed experience. Campfire Stereo was too weak but Jardin Azteca was amazing, it fills my bathroom with the best fragrance with only 5 reeds.

Bought from them around 10 times now. Once a package went missing and another time it was leaking but their customer service rocks. Five stars!

The hand cream is what initially sold me on this brand. It's hard to find something that absorbs well and smells good and I was over paying $100 for a bottle of Aesop cream.

Last year I stayed at an Airbnb in Sedona AZ that had Element soap and cream in the bathroom and I’ve been thinking about them ever since. We've now started ordering for our home and our two Airbnbs here in Santa Barbara. The dispensers are simple and stylish and the products smell great and have a really premium feel. The pricing is competitive which is really important to us as we have to order large quantities.

Really happy with their products. I placed an order as soon as it arrived, immediately placed another order. My favorite is the Pumice Stone Soap but beware that it is very thick and doesn't work in some bottles which can be frustrating.
