  • This mattress is so nice. I love that it's environmentally friendly as well and came in completely recyclable packaging so I didn't have 50 sheets of plastic to throw away! Even though it's a foam mattress it's not too soft so it really is a perfect mixture of comfortable and support.

  • The medium mattress from this place is amazing. I WAS a die hard memory foamer and after this mattress I don’t think I’ll ever be able to sleep on anything else! It’s so comfortable and their customer service is great. I’m a side and back sleeper and I used to wake up with cricks in my neck occasionally and that never happens anymore. I did end up adding their topper because I wanted my bed a liiiitle softer and the quality of that is almost amazing. I called their customer service to ask about the difference between firm and medium and we talked about my sleeping positions and the medium was perfect. They picked up on the first ring and were really nice!

LOOK at their certifications and you will realize as quickly as I did as all these other mattress companies that claim they are organic or natural ARE NOT!

What is Earthfoam?

Earthfoam creates mattresses, pillows, and mattress toppers from a blend of natural foam rubber, wool, and cotton.

In their own words

We’re the people of Earthfoam: an independent, family-owned company making mattresses delightful from tree and sheep to shop and sleep. Deep in the forests of Sri Lanka, shading the dappled forest floor, are the rubber trees that give Earthfoam mattresses their comfy bounce. Around the world and across the equator, frolicking in New Zealand meadows, are the sheep whose wool makes every sleep cool and soft. In Canada, Germany, and Pakistan, under the same sun and stars, plush cotton fabric is made to hug it all together. And just outside Chicago, in a small family-run factory, these materials are introduced to each other to make a mattress like no other. This is the story of Earthfoam. It’s a story to read before bed. Before choosing a bed. Earthfoam. The sleep dreams are made of.

As a Fair for Life certified company, Earthfoam supports workers' rights, including the right to collective bargaining, fair pay and a living wage, and a discrimination-free workplace. To that end, the Earthfoam team established The Fair for Life Development Fund to support the farmers and farmworkers in Sri Lanka from which they source the natural rubber used in Earthfoam’s products. When Earthfoam purchases natural rubber from rubber tree farms, a percentage of that purchase goes back to a cooperative of farmers and workers to use as they see fit to better their community and working conditions through projects such as building access roads, providing medical services, and more. Earthfoam’s products carry several internationally recognized certifications for meeting stringent fair trade, organic, safety, and emissions standards. Current certifications include: Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS), Fair For Life — Fair Trade, Greenguard Gold, Oeko-Tex Standard 100, eco-INSTITUT Foam Certification.
