  • The razor handle that comes as standard with the Dollar Shave Club starter kit has a much better build quality than I was expecting, which came as a nice surprise. The blades were okay, and did the job — I tend to shave once every three days. What I really like about DSC is the variety of products they have beyond just the blades themselves. Offering shower, aftershave, oral and skin care (plus more) makes it easy for guys who don't want too much fuss in that area to combine it all into one regular subscription.

  • Have been using DSC razors for several years(remember Rompacabezas). The past two+ years quality has gone away. The original razors were much sharper and gave s clean close shave. This “new” 6 blade is garbage have to go over area twice minimum to get close shave. I have the heavy metal handle, “ heavy grade whisker dominance “ skip this, no advantage. Razor blade loses contact with face cause the blade doesn’t flex with face contour. Disappointed after years of use. I’ve continued using thinking it might improve, nope company was created specifically to be sold, now owned by equity firm where quality/accountability is unheard of. Like the old idiom, all god things must come to an end.

  • I have used DSC blades for years. Their heritage blades were the absolute BEST blades around and as soon as they switched to their new Club Series blades they went to shit. I have cancelled my subscription after years of subscribing. Will seek out other alternatives now.

  • I am leaving my subscription of three years because the new blades are terrible. In all 4 blades I have used the lubricant strip came out on first shave. The blades do not seem to cut as well either. Honestly, a big mistake switching the way your blades are made.

  • Went to the store and they were out of blades for my Gillette Fusion razor so I purchased a Dollar Shave Club razor, which came with two blades, and a 4-pack of extra Dollar Shave Club blades. I have a light beard, literally almost square inches of my face with no hair growing. And, I generally shave every other day because it takes about that long for me to grow a coarse stubble (which almost looks like random dirt on my face because my beard is sparse). Really disappointed in the Dollar Shave Club rig. Blades much less sharp and lasted for many fewer shaves than my Gillette Fusion. I'd estimate that the Fusion blades last me 40-50 shaves whereas the Dollar Shave blades last about ten shaves. I've only used four of the six Dollar Shave razors which I purchased. One blade became unusable after a handful of uses because the plastic on the blade warped and would no longer fit the razor. Another razor did that on the second time that I used it. Given the poor performance of the Dollar Shave rig, I immediately went out and bought more Gillette Fusion blades-enough of this Dollar Shave business. I'll keep the Dollar Shave blade and two razors in case of an emergency but otherwise never use them again. I'm surprised that Dollar Shave doesn't realize these problems and fix their product.

  • The blades don't stay on very well .. other than that they are just ok,no better or worse than anything else on the market..

  • I was a member of DSC for over 5 years. In 2023 they replaced their razors with a new “upgraded” model. Put simply, the quality is awful. I had a few of the “old” blades left and used them last week, realizing that it takes 3x longer to shave with the “new” ones. I gave them a chance but ultimately canceled today. It’s a shame that this great idea was sold to a mega corporation and they chose to run it into the ground.

  • I was a DSC member for over 8 years, but have cancelled my membership. Why? The new razor and razor blades SUCK! The new razor if full-on wimpy light and the blades just do not work as well as the old design. They don’t move across my skin as well and require more passes for the same shave. DO NOT JOIN DSC! You WILL be disappointed!

  • 2023 was the beginning of the end for this company. DSC replaced very solid, affordable razors with the 'Club' series in early 2023. These new razors are worse than a bag of generic razors that you can buy at any drugstore- the ones that they don't even bother to lock up. I have been shaving my head for 25 years and this may be the worst razor I have ever used- it pulls hairs and takes 3 times shaving the same spot to get it shaven. I wouldn't use this razor if they gave me a free lifetime subscription. Unsurprisingly, a few months after the new model came out DSC announced a sale to a private equity firm. Quality down, prices up, and now the new owner will squeeze every penny out of this formerly good brand name until it crashes and burns. Sad.

  • These are the worst razors I have ever used, and that includes disposable razors. When I use a dollar shave club razor blade, I have to plan extra time in my day. It takes at least 3 shaves in order to get an acceptable feel. I am not a heavy thick aired person. I barely have any facial hair at all. I absolutely hate using these blades. I still force myself to use them from time to time since I have so many of these useless things. Everytime I use it I am just reminded of how useless they are and how pissed off they make me. That reminds me... one more thing, when ever I use Dollar Shave Club Razor Blades they make me feel sad, mad, frustrated, angry and completely take advantage of.

  • I'm not sure what's changed, I've been a subscriber for over 5 yrs now. But recently my daughter and I have noticed our armpits feel raw and hurt after every shave. Will be canceling unfortunately

  • I kept being sent the wrong blades, I ordered the Executive and kept being sent the dual blade instead. They were also very difficult to contact and correct issues with the order, I cancelled my subscription and they charged me twice despite this and it took me two calls to them and one to my bank to finally stop them. The product itself when I finally got the actual one I ordered was okay, I used the product before it was Available for purchase in stores and was always worried about losing my cartridges and having to argue with support to order more as their website at the time was.. different..

  • I’ve been trying to get someone to help me with a problem and it’s impossible. They tried to get me to pay to chat to a customer service. Phone number doesn’t work. Do not use this company. I bought a razor that no longer fits the blades that I have. All by the same company. I can’t get anyone to help.

  • I needed a razor really quick because I had appointment for a job contract. So I went to target and saw a dollar shave club razor and thought I liked there razor years ago and only $8.00 well felt like I was hardly removing any facial hair and then get a quarter the way shaved and blade shoots off. I find the blade and get halfway shaved and blade shoots off again. Now I'm shaving in my car and second time blade shoots off I completely lose the blade and now I'm showing up a possible new client and I look like a crazy guy and don't get contract.

  • Dollar Shave Club (I've been with them over ten years!) used to have fantastic six blade cartridges and a very nice handle. This year (2023) they were bought out by a private equity firm who promptly ruined everything. They cheapened the handle so it's a light, rubber unbalance piece of crap, with a floppy spring piece that makes the blade head difficult to control, and new blades that just suck and do not shave closely any more. At the same time, they made it so the new handle won't fit the discontinued six blade cartridge, and the new and crappy six blade cartridges won't fit the old handle. No surprise, several months after this transition they've now just released a heavy metal handle that appears to be nothing more than a new iteration of the discontinued executive handle I liked so much. In short, they took what was a great product and cheapened it to the point where it is not worth buying or using anymore, and discontinued the good product I was used to, while raising their prices. Then they try to get you to buy a new handle that is just a repackaging of the old handle. These private equity firms are always such pigs and so short sighted they ruin everything they ever touch. I just cancelled my membership, and now I'm trying Dorco blades and handle that is available on Amazon and is supposed to be the same or similar to what Dollar Shave Club was selling before the greedy private equity buffoons bought the company and ruined everything.

  • My whole family (4 of us) started with DSC more than 5 years ago.... It was good shaves out of the yellow strip cartridge, and the 4 blade cartridge that I used when I traveled. Since the 6 blade cartridge change in late '22, the quality of the shave is not as good. (All 4 of us agree) It's not as close as it use to be. Did the angle of the blade change? I use the prep scrub & the shave butter every shave, so that has not changed, it's the blades. Price has gone up, but, what hasn't. Thanks Joe! We will all be stopping our subscription.

  • Too expensive and the resulting shaves are terrible. I switched from the DSC to double edge safety razors and the only issue,...I wish I had made the switch sooner.

  • I used to work there until me and the boss Julie blanding myers had sex multiple times in the conference room this place is filled with drugs Grove city ohio

    Works for Dollar Shave Club
  • I had a subscription for years. Their original razors were good. They changed them to a cheaply made razor that is awful. It didn’t matter what shave gel, cream, or other product I used they just don’t work and shred your skin. Don’t waste your money.

  • I have a couple of issues with the Dollar Shave club . I was a member since it really was a dollar to purchase razor refills . The razors recently changed without notice and I was forced to buy a new handle to fit the razor blades for $11 and the new blades are the worst and most painful shave I have ever used. I had to purchase another razor from the store, because of how much they hurt. I don’t recommend Dollar Shave any longer and it makes me sad, as I have used them for so long.
