Cotopaxi earns enthusiastic reviews for vibrant, sustainability-driven gear that performs—standouts like the Allpa Travel Pack and Fuego Down Jacket draw praise for clever organization, comfort, and durability—yet mixed feedback questions consistency, with reports of loose threads, fabric scuffs, color unpredictability, and occasional tears. The brand delights with unique Del Día colorways, roomy pockets, and travel-ready designs, but sizing runs large for some, certain apparel lines feel less robust, and select items show stains or wear quickly.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
Love this brand and everything that they have done and stand for. Big fan of their "Del Dia" collection with its sustainable practices. The colors are fun, and the bags really stand-up to the wear and tear. I would say that the design decals start to flake off after some time, but the bag itself is holding up just fine!

Fun and colorful outdoor clothing and gear. More lifestyle-oriented than technical.
Quality unmatched! Their brand mission is so admirable, focusing on sustainability and giving back. It's also so refreshing to see hiking products with happy bright colours - the adorable llama logo is such a plus!
I get so many compliments on my multi-colored Cotopaxi fanny pack and it's extremely functional and can carry a lot. I also love my packaging cubes which making traveling that much easier.
I read a review once that refered to Cotopaxi and similar brands as 'kindercore' which I love. I was a Kickstarter supporter, so I've been a huge fan of this brand from the beginning and am thrilled to see them continue with high-quality, fun, and performance-based products.

Personally, I just want a pair of high-rise Cotopaxi leggings.
I have their “do good” sticker on my car. If that doesn’t tell you how much I like this brand, then I’m not sure what else to say. But for the sake of this review, let’s talk product! We have a wide range of items from here, from water bottles to backpacks to hats to clothing! The whole deal. My husband swears by their big travel backpacks. He takes them on our international flights and have loved every second with it. It fits so much clothing, is about a size of a carryon, but since it’s a backpack, it looks like a personal item… meaning you get away with not worrying about weather a budget airline will make you check it in. It’s also in great shape after multiple flights. Great brand overall.
The Allpa 42L Travel Pack is the ULTIMATE carry-on. It is so well designed and I will tell anyone who will listen to switch from their roller-carry-on suitcase to this backpack. I traveled all over Spain and Mexico with this bag, and have taken it on everything from a weekend trip to months-long excursions. The exterior finish is a rubber-like material which means it holds up well in the rain (it does also come with a rain cover). I wouldn't take this bag on a backcountry hiking trip but it's great for air travel and adventures. Each pocket is designed for certain items (ie section for your shoes vs section for clothes vs section for toiletries) it also has a discrete laptop sleeve built in and a unique zipper prevention design to keep someone from easily unzipping in a crowd. The rubber shell has gotten a few knicks and scuffs but it doesn't bother me and doesn't affect the use at all.
Love the mission. Love that their products are unique and using reused fabric. Cool concept and they've done a great job.
I have multiple bags from Cotopaxi and have nothing bad to say. Very robust and has storage and design to be an every day bag as well as a travel bag. You don't get to choose the color of the bag because those making it have free reign which I think adds to the products and ensures its unique to you. This is an easy recommend.

I love my fleece hoodie from Cotopaxi. It is really warm and fits nicely. Only complaint is that some of the fabric got a weird discoloration. I do love the brand’s mission though.
Got one of the larger backpacks for a recent trip to Europe and it's been great. More organization than other backpacks it's size, with robust straps. Thoughtfully designed and durable.
Durable and a great mission. Though if you're looking for specific color combo on their items (like their backpacks), you'll have to either go look in person or try your luck.

I got a Cotopaxi backpack for study abroad, and I love it so much! I got the Allpa 35L Travel Pack and it was perfect for fitting under the seat on the plane if you don't fill it all the way full. It zips open like a suitcase making it easy to access for travel. I love how colorful the bag is making it fun, and unique so I can always tell which bag is mine. Only downfall is that the colors are a little different in person than the photos posted online, darker coloring in person than online.

I got the Batac 24L bag. Have used it every day for about about a year and it still looks brand new. Great colourway (randomly generated), and great ethos behind the brand. Will look to Cotopaxi for anything else I need in the future.
