I bought this food on a whim after weeks of trying different foods for my cat when I saw an IG ad for it. My cat loves the taste of it, but a few weeks later a friend of mine came over, saw that I was using Cat Person, and warned me against it. A few years ago her cat died very suddenly of kidney disease. She said he died about 2 months after he started the Cat Person diet. She said it could have been a coincidence, but she wanted to warn me in case. So I started looking into it, and I found a lot of evidence that supports her theory. A lot of cats die from kidney disease, and Cat Person's website itself warns against feeding their food to cats with kidney issues because of the high protein content. And the problem is if your cat DOES have kidney issues, you most likely won't know until it's too late. Sure enough, after feeding my cat half a can a day of this food (which is less than the recommended 1-2 cans) for about two weeks, she started peeing a lot more frequently (a sign of kidney issues) and generally acting strange and perturbed. I switched her back to her old food (which she had stopped eating), Fussie Cat, and she seems to be back to normal spirits.

I also asked the nutrition specialist at my vet about it, and after doing research into the brand, she warned me against a few things: 1. She couldn't find the phosphorus levels in the food, which she found worrying. 2. She said the brand has a co-packer, so she couldn't verify the quality of the ingredients. 3. The brand doesn't have food catered to different life stages (less than 1 year is kitten, 1-7 years is adult, 7+ is senior). Basically, she said it seems like some cat lovers with the best intentions created this brand but failed to do the more scientific research. She recommended the Hills diet plan -- she said she's been to their facilities and seen how much research they do and how well they treat the animals. My vet said the phosphorus levels in Fussie Cat were good but she couldn't verify the manufacturing process, which was worrisome to her. Once I run out of the Fussie Cat food, I'm planning to switch to the Hills diet. I'll probably throw away the Cat Person food, or feed my cat half a can every once in a while so as not to upset her kidneys.

TLDR: This food may literally kill your cat. Be careful.

If i were my cat reviewing this company i would give it 10/5 stars, but the inconsistencies in shipping times even after paying more for express shipping have been insanely frustrating on a monthly plan. So all in all - quality of the cat food (according to Mango) is incredible, consistency of service on a monthly plan that both me and my cat are banking on to arrive on time... not so great. My cat is now addicted to this food and this food alone, so i plan ahead, and order sooner than my monthly subscription.

They are high protein meal that my cat gets excited about. The packaging is asthetically pleasing but that is for me and not the cat so it doesn't worth paying extra for the design that won't benefit my cat. The membership is convenience but just like Amazon or chewy authip. No different.

The packaging for the cat person treat is kind of a pain and splatters around. I do wish it was just in a milk carton type of container where I can just pour out a measured amount each day. 

Would be nice to see this brand in retailers. Unfortunately I cannot predict my cats eating habits, so relying on a subscription isn't the most ideal. 

Both of my cats absolutely love the Cat Person treats, but one of them in particular is insanely addicted. He will meow out me anytime I get within 10 feet of where we keep the Cat Person treats. They do love the dry food, but the size of the bag is a bit small and kind of annoying to constantly be ordering their food in the mail. 

Also love the branding and the box. 

Really great branding, the product is sort of a miss though. I can't totally speak to why, but my cat just doesn't like it very much. I really like the utensils(?)/scooper though.

The day my friend introduced me to Cat Person, it was like watching my typically picky cat discover a whole new world of food. You know that moment when your cat actually gets excited about mealtime instead of giving you that usual indifferent stare? That's what happened here.

What really caught my attention wasn't just my cat's enthusiasm - it was learning about their subscription service in the US. As someone who gets caught up in busy city life, the idea of having precisely portioned, high-quality cat food arriving on a regular schedule sounds like such a thoughtful solution. My friend showed me how the meal plan works, and it's pretty much taken all the guesswork out of her cat's nutrition.

It's a bit disappointing that this service isn't available in my country yet. There's something really appealing about having a reliable system that ensures your cat gets proper nutrition without the constant worry of running out or making last-minute store runs. For now, I'll just have to appreciate these sample packs my friend shared, watching my cat enjoy every bite while quietly hoping they'll expand their service here someday.

my cat loves it! she doesn't love the chicken or turkey flavors because she's a lil fish kitty but she's always really excited for her wet food.

I only feed my cat half a can a day with generic dry food the other parts of the day. 

I would love larger size bag options or the brand to be sold to specialty retailers. It took a couple of months to get the right amount of food ordered, sometimes running out before our shipment was delivered. 

My cats really enjoy all of the cat person dry food flavors but neither seemed to take to the wet food.  The packaging and branding are super cute. I love that my first box came with a measuring cup and wet food covers, super handy. 

Every once in a while I stop and think to myself that I am paying way too much for cat food. And then I keep doing it anyway. Seems to have great ingredients, and my cat loves every single kind of shreds in broth and every dry food we've gotten. 

I love their packaging and shipping box that turns into a cardboard toy for your cat. Looking at the ingredients, it is a very clean and no additives kind of product. The product's effectiveness is very dependent on what diet your cat enjoys and is comfortable with. They do offer a pate and shredded version of their food and instructions on how to try changing to different food brands. I would say the price point is higher than other brands, but I love that you get to try out the products before committing. 

A bit expensive, but on par with other, similar cat food brands.

After doing an insane amount of research and testing out their competitor, Smalls, for my kitty, I've been buying Cat Person food for over a year now. It's basically the highest quality/cleanest ingredients you can get (save for human food) and comes in easy to dispense individually-portioned containers. I get my cat the tuna shreds and salmon/tuna shreds and he goes nuts for them (and is a pretty picky eater). The packaging is also super cute and I love their branding (even the box it gets delivered in can be re-purposed into a cat toy/hiding spot). Really thoughtful branding through every step of the way. 

I'm still figuring out how much to order and with what frequency. Right now I have some backup food because there's usually a bit of delay between shipments. 

Although I'm 4 weeks apart, the shipment takes forever to send, so I really get it in around 5. So keep that in mind when ordering.

I adopted a new cat in Janaury and was told she was a picky eater by her foster parents. They had tried a bunch of the store available brands so I figured I'd try one of the online companies. 

She took to Cat Person immediately. We're three months in and at this point, she's tried every flavor. The only one she won't eat is the beef, but she loves every other flavor (shredded). Recently I tried another brand (Smalls), and she picks at it, so it looks like I might be sticking with Cat Person for sure.

I love that the box it comes in can be used as a fun toy/hiding place for her. The first box we got I turned into a scratching box by placing a scratch post board in it. It's one of her favorite places to scratch and rest now.

Food is easy to portion and save.

I like the variety of food options available, and the subscription model is really convenient. I think the food and the merch (cat bed, food dish, etc.) are fairly expensive, but the quality is really great so it’s worth the price overall. 

I'm a big fan of the brand, way more than the product. We (our two cats) started enjoying them but they quickly became less interested over time. The pricing seems a bit high (but you pay for the brand + convenience to your door). Our cats might have been too picky but they only really liked the pates (not shreds) and the ones with the fish (not the chicken, duck, or turkey). 

Amazing customer services and the wet food is quite a lot of food in each pod. My cat initially like them, but then after two months refused to eat them. My cat is finicky and I am not surprised, but I will say that the two months she was eating them, she had great poop and had a bit more energy, My cat is 11 years old. Packaging is really cool and you can reuse their boxes as play things for your kitty! I was on their subscription and cancelling was easy, no questions asked. Very friendly people. I also bought their Cat Person sweatshirt, which is popular wherever I go! The scoop, spoons, and lids are perfect too. Again, too bad my cat just stopped eating it. It is a bit pricey but anything for my cat. :)

My brother have picky cats and they seem to enjoy a couple of the flavors. My only downside is the smell of the food. It is a bit strong but I understand that. 

Cat loves the food and it has helped my cat lose weight. That said, ABSOLUTLEY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. They do not know how to properly run a business, obviously with taking no calls for support. You are at the mercy of email and text and their response time is BS. Placed an order on the 26th of July and STILL hasn't even shipped yet. Now I have to spend extra money on other food. Seems all they care about is having it on monthly auto-order but yeah, my credit card that I had stored on their site and NO ONE else got cancelled because of FRAUD attempts. Cat Person had no answer to this and didn't make it up to a reoccurring customer in any way. BAD BUSINESS practice. I will be telling this story on every cat food review site as I possibly can. People need to know what they are getting into with this company's NON-EXISTENT customer service.

Do Not use this company. Even saying that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. You can't get in touch with them! I have sent txt and email with no response except to tell me they will get back to me, but they have not! They debited 412.65 from my account without my permission! And set it up as recurring!! I have an investigation going on with it now. I have 2 cats WHY would I ever need that much food recurring!!!! It is a huge Scam and Rip off! Please don't get caught up in this like me!!
