I would give Carpe zero stars if I could. What should have been a simple one-time purchase turned into a frustrating experience with deceptive practices. Somehow, without clear consent or proper transparency, I was enrolled into a subscription service that I never knowingly agreed to. There was no obvious warning, no clear opt-in — just a charge appearing later. When I reached out to customer service expecting a straightforward resolution, I was met with resistance and a refusal to issue a refund. Instead of taking accountability, they hid behind their policies, despite the fact that the subscription setup felt misleading at best. This kind of behaviour completely erodes trust. Customers shouldn’t have to scrutinise every click just to avoid being locked into unwanted recurring charges. It feels intentionally designed to catch people out. I would strongly caution anyone considering buying from Carpe to double- and triple-check everything before purchasing — or better yet, avoid altogether. There are plenty of other companies that respect their customers and operate transparently. Extremely disappointing experience.
