This bag is going to last. And probably will sell out consistently now that it was a brand featured on “Succession.” I had done extensive research on leather totes with laptop sleeves and Carl Friedrik was always the top but the Ashby bag was always sold out. I found a dupe from Quince but it just didn’t hold its shape the way I expected so when the opportunity to preorder the bag in cognac came, I did it. It’s roughly 3x the cost of my dupe but worth it for the top zipper alone. The leather is really high quality and built to last on par with other reviews (some people say they’ve had theirs for 20 years). The straps are solid and won’t roll or chip, the interior is a grey fabric that appears easy to clean if needed, and with the laptop sleeve hidden on the side, it means you can carry plenty of other things in the main compartment. I can fit my planner, make up accessories, a card holder, lunch from home, and a few seltzers for the day in mine. There’s also a larger inside zip compartment and 3 pouches that can fit your phone and other smaller items.
