Cards Against Humanity

4.5

Cards Against Humanity wins big in reviews for delivering uproarious, easy-to-learn party play that sparks belly laughs, quick bonding, and late-night chaos—especially with larger groups and expansion packs—so yes, it works. Reviews also flag clear drawbacks: humor can be crass/NSFW and alienating for sensitive or mixed-age crowds, cards lose shock value with repetition, and some prompts feel dated or hard to play with certain audiences.

This isn't a bad game. I think updates could be made to the cards. After some game play it gets a bit predictable and stale.
Love playing this game with friends!!
This game is always a good time regardless of who you're playing with! It's a classic.
I've had some very funny moments playing this game, but it doesn't have the best re-playability. The expansions help to keep the prompts fresh, but in a household of avid boardgamers, it's rarely first choice. More of an occasional game to play with non-gamer friends for a giggle than a game that comes out again and again.
Always a fun game to play!
Fun game but can be a bit inappropriate. Would love a cleaner version but the ability to be just as silly
This game is great to play with friends and family. It’s a great party game! I love that it’s more mature and will have everyone laughing with tears!
My wife and I played Cards Against Humanity at a dinner party. The questions were interesting and challenging. They truely broke the ice amongst guests that were not acquainted with each other, at first. We were able to laugh, and smile with amusement, and sometimes even smirked at each other. After the game, we all were much more comfortable with each other, and more at ease.
A solid party game! Definitely even better if you play with friends with dark and great humor. Fun with family as well!

needless to say, a classic that has somehow held up over the years. love their progressive politics.
Cards Against Humanity is my go-to game night staple! It's so fun, versatile for any adult-only hangs, and always leaves me and my friends laughing and goofing around. I will say, once you've played a few times, you'd definitely want to get an expansion pack or something because there are just so many cards you can play/be surprised by. That's the only downside. Otherwise, it's the perfect, compact game for a fun night with friends!
Always uncomfortable. Always fun.

so fun to play with friends!
Not really a huge fan of this game cause it doesn’t require much thinking. It also gets kinda old and not funny after a little while.
This is a fun game! Perfect for dorm games or late nights in Tahoe.

This game is good because it does what you want most games to do, lighten the mood, initiate some laughs and encourage conversation with the players. With the out-of-pocket prompts, the resulting phrases will be so extreme that you'll HAVE to make a comment. It's a hugely popular game so I was excited to play it for the first time at a family gathering but that is when I experienced the weakness of the game, because of the outrageous and contemporary phrases, it was almost completely unplayable with anyone over the age of 30, its really weird when half the room is laughing and the rest is confused. But overall a fun game, would recommend to some people!
Love this game!! It’s really fun to get people together and play a game that’ll make everyone laugh. We even played it with my grandma who didn’t know what half the cards really meant, but it was hilarious and she had a great time. After a while you do get used to the cards and the surprise factor goes away. But they have extra cards you can buy too.
Love this game!! It’s so fun. I have had it for years and never ceases to liven up a party or hangout. I definitely want to invest in one of their updated packs soon, as after so many times playing it does get slightly less fun.
Fun game to have on hand when you want something more fun/funny and interactive. Definitely one to add to your standard game collection, and the expansion packs keep things interesting if you end up playing often. Also easier to bring along to a cabin weekend, etc than a traditional board game.

A quintessential party game. Like any card game of this nature, cards can get a tad repetitive, so the additional packs for purchase are nice.
