when i bought my jane watch a few years ago it was $100. now it's almost doubled in price. i love this watch and it's beautiful, but i don't think it's worth $200. after about 2 years of regular wear i had put a few chips in the edges of the crystal face. the clasp was also on the looser side, and once it fell off my wrist when i was out and the impact knocked one of the little gold hour indicators out of place so it was loose inside the face. i took it to a local jeweler who basically told me the only way to remove the crystal face would be to blow it out, which because of the chips would destroy the glass, and the process would send the little gold piece flying anyway. in his words "this was a watch made to be thrown away." i was bummed by that but reached out to customer service for a repair which i paid for and they were able to do. it took about 1-2 months (during the holiday season) so instead of having me pay for them to mail it back which is their normal process, they covered the shipping as a courtesy. the watch looks great now - although i can tell they tightened the clasp because it now takes all my effort to snap it open and shut. this watch is lovely and gets me a lot of compliments, but i feel like there are more durable watches out there if you're looking for a daily watch.
