Reviews mention

  • Plastic-free packaging elegance
  • Light, pleasant fragrance profiles
  • Effective dishwasher tablet cleaning
  • Space-saving refill tins
  • Fragile, finicky pump mechanisms
  • Streak-prone glass cleaner formula
  • Inconsistent laundry tab dissolution
  • Underpowered greasy-mess cleaning

Blueland impresses in reviews for delivering effective, low‑waste cleaning—dishwasher tablets, foaming hand soap, toilet tabs, and laundry routines often perform as well as conventional options with lighter, pleasant scents and compact, plastic‑free refills—so the brand is good for everyday cleaning. However, reviews flag inconsistent cleaning strength for heavy messes (glass cleaner streaks, dish powder and some sprays underperform), dissolving issues with laundry tabs, and widely reported failures of plastic “forever” bottles, pumps, and sprayers.

  • Great fragrance and easy to use.

  • I appreciate this small woman-owned business for their mission to eliminate or greatly reduce waste, especially plastic waste. Their use of sustainable and non harmful ingredients in regards to us and the environment also matches up with my desired lifestyle. The products are efficient, effective, and conscientious. The wonderful scents and coabs are a definite bonus. I look forward to transitioning more of our household products in the future as things are used up.

  • I like that the product is natural and no harmful chemicals and they it comes in tabs. Easy to store. I don’t like that it doesn’t remove oils or grease. I don’t feel as clean after using.

  • I really love Blueland's products. My family are using the laundry tablets, body and face wash, hand soap and all 3 of the spray cleaners! The new Spring Blossom scent is DIVINE!

  • Really love the brand and ethos but unfortunately our hand soap dispensers stopped working pretty quickly (were super slow to pump) and eventually one started growing mold inside. Bummed that it didn’t work out but so far the other products we use are great.

  • I've been looking for ways to make our home have less of an impact on the environment, but I'm not one to quickly jump on a new bandwagon. I need to spend time looking around at customer reviews out in "the wild". I discovered Blueland online during a random search and decided to give them a try. Right now I'm using their toilet tabs, hand soap, spray cleaner and compostable wash cloths. I'm pleased with their products so far and will venture further into their sphere. Also, was a nice surprise to find their toilet tabs at Costco. Nice to see a big box embrace the trends we're seeking.

  • We love our Blueland hand soap and dispensers! We had an issue where one of them was clogged but Blueland customer service helped us to fix it and offered to replace if it wasn’t able to be fixed. That ended up not being necessary and we’ve had no issues since!

  • I love how easy and convenient it is to use this product. I feel good about cleaning the house with clean products.

  • We love Blueland. We have been using their products for a couple years. It feels good knowing we are helping the planet by reducing single use plastic. The hand soaps have really helped my hands as they don’t contain any harsh or harmful ingredients. The laundry tabs and dishwasher tabs work great.

  • These products seem straightforward and effective. We use the dish soap and the hand soap, and toilet tablets, but as soon as our other supplies run out we will try the laundry and dishwasher products too. My kids love cleaning the toilets because they can drop the toilet tablet in themselves and do the rest of the cleaning while it dissolves. Love it! I really like the dish soap. No scent, and it gets the job done. I haven’t hand the feeling that it is drying out my hands after I do a lot of washing. The best positive is that we aren’t contributing to shipping around the unnecessary extra weight of water, or the creation of harmful plastic.

  • There are so many things I love about this company!! The products I have tried have all had an amazing smell and make my home feel clean! I religiously use the multi surface cleaner, bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, and hand soap (the national park scents have a death grip on my household!). I have tried the dish soap and laundry detergent, I wasn’t a huge fan of the powdered dish soap, and found a laundry detergent I preferred. The only thing I have found that I haven’t loved is the spray dispenser for the cleaning products, I have found that after a few uses they stick after every spray and need to be pulled back out to dispense product. I did get a replacement nozzle once (customer service was amazing and very quick to answer!) before switching to bottles I purchased on Amazon. Overall I love this company and their product that comes in minimal, biodegradable packaged, and have recommended them to many friends and family members!

  • I hate to say this because I absolutely love the sustainability piece and was very excited about using this brand, but unfortunately I’ve ended up having an awful experience. Not only did I find the products themselves disappointing (weird smells and/or ineffective), but I’ve had massive issues with the customer service over being accidentally charged nearly $200. I signed up for the subscription box, however after purchasing the first one I had to leave the country for a few months so I pushed my subscription back several months. Due to not finding the actual products satisfactory I have also since fully cancelled my subscription. Unfortunately, the company still accidentally went through with the next set of refills (charging me nearly $200). Within hours of receiving an email regarding the refill I reached out to support, and the accidental refill was acknowledged, however I was told the refill had already been shipped so to reach out to DHL shipping to try to have the package returned (as I’m still out of the country so can’t receive the package so I am currently just being charged $200 despite having specifically changed the date of the refill). Obviously DHL didn’t respond to any of my attempts to contact them, and Blueland has since ignored all of my emails asking for them to resolve the issue on their end as it was their mistake to begin with. I’m now having to dispute the charge with my credit card company, because I am a student and can’t afford to have $200 charged to my bank accounts without my knowledge or consent. Extremely disappointing experience all around.

  • The products work the same as other products (dish washer detergent and laundry detergent), just no plastic (big plus). Some people complained about cost/shipping, but I just buy in bulk and the cost stays relatively low and then you have plenty of time to remember to place a new order (or subscribe) before you run out, so shipping speed doesn't matter.

  • I use Blueland's laundry detergent tabs, oxiboost laundry powder, and dishwasher detergent tabs. I really like all 3 of these items and recommend! I tried the hand soap too but am not a fan. It takes a long time to dissolve (not a huge deal) but it is not very soapy - it feels like I have to use a lot to get my hand clean. I started using less water per hand soap tab and that was better. However, that seems like a waste of money so I stopped using the hand soap.

  • I began using Blueland products about a month ago after seeing them on a YouTube channel that I follow I have had good success with them and I plan on using them for the foreseeable future

  • I love going plastic free. I am using the dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent and toilet bowl cleaner. I just ordered the hand soap. I was skeptical, but have been very pleasantly surprised. All the products I have used so I far work very well and I’m happy to have found Blueland. The customer service is also excellent

  • I love using Blueland: I have perfected my every-other-month delivery, so with one box every other month, I never have to carry any more laundry detergent, dishwasher packs, hand soap or body wash from the store. EVER!! The stock doesn't take so much space because all the products are dry and concentrated. I just reuse my tin cans and dispensers. I also enjoy the "Cloud Cloth" for wiping the dinner table and the counter. I still use disposable paper towels for extra messy messes, and for handling food (like drying berries, or a piece of fish) , but that is so little in comparison for what it takes for the daily cleaning of the kitchen surfaces! I wash and reuse the "Cloud Cloths" a few times and when they are DONE, I cut them to small pieces and throw them in the COMPOST. The packages for the detergents are also said to be compostable. I wish Blueland will come out with rinse aid for the dishwasher.

  • The laundry detergent tablets get my clothes and household linens nice and clean and no leftover smell. Dishwasher tablets clean dishes beautifully. I especially like the hand soap tablets since I can get without scents. I really like non scented products and Blueland are the best. With scheduled subscriptions I don’t have to remember buying refills. All around love the products.

  • I see no difference in the effectiveness of Blueland products and other commercial (wasteful, polluting) products so give them a try! You will be happy you did.

  • Happy to have discovered Blueland! My favourite product is the scented laundry booster. I have also used the foaming soap tabs, and the toilet tabs which are also great products! As a Canadian customer I wish there were some discount codes offered.
