These are a must buy! Burekas are one of my favorite foods, so versatile! Also, the packaging and branding is just gorgeous. They're packed with flavor, easy to cook, and taste like you just got them fresh.

I would love to have either more in the bag or have many smaller sized ones
These are tasty, easy to make, and surprisingly not terrible for you. My favorite is the spinach and cheese one, which is like spanakopita. I cook mine in the toaster oven at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes.

Would a microwave option be out of the question?
These were sent to me to try and they are absolutely INCREDIBLE! The pastry is so flaky and the fillings are all so flavorful! The bureks taste so fresh out of the oven, you really couldn't tell that they come frozen!

The burek pies are quite big. Hopefully, they are available in smaller sizes/portions soon so we can enjoy several flavors at a time!

Balkan Bites, is a women-owned food business based in NYC that specializes in burek: a flaky, savory phyllo pie that's a daily staple in the Balkans and Middle East. We sell our clean label frozen burek through our online shop and wholesale through retail and foodservice channels. We make our phyllo dough from scratch with premium ingredients like unbleached flour, extra-virgin olive oil, and real butter. It all started when Ariana approached her aunt Alida with a simple idea—to teach her how to make traditional Albanian recipes in honor of her late grandmother, Magbule. On Sundays, they found solace in baking together, reminiscing about her while bringing her recipes to life. Soon enough, they were debuting their Bureks at local markets in NYC from the Columbus Circle Holiday Market to the Queens Night Market, receiving overwhelming support from customers around the world. And so came the start of an ‘unBurekable’ bond: the birth of Balkan Bites, a small company with a big mission to share a piece of their culture through everyday Southeast European comfort foods.
