Reviews mention

  • Sleek minimalist aesthetic design
  • Lightweight hard-shell construction
  • Smooth-rolling 360° wheels
  • Thoughtful interior compression system
  • Easily scuffed exterior surfaces
  • Occasional wobbly telescoping handle
  • Inconsistent zipper or mesh durability
  • Heavier, dent-prone aluminum shell

Away earns strong reviews for durable, lightweight polycarbonate and aluminum luggage that glides smoothly, packs efficiently with compression panels and a laundry bag, and is backed by responsive, often generous warranty service; however, reviews also flag easy exterior scuffing/dents, occasional zipper/handle/wheel issues, divisive or cumbersome battery compartments, and ubiquity that causes bag mix-ups. Overall, Away is good and works well for frequent travel, but buyers should expect cosmetic wear and consider darker colors or covers.

  • Expensive but in my opion worth it. Fits everything, doesn't scratch easily, and looks aesthetically pleasing.

  • Durable and spacious for all my stuff! Definitely worth my money! I just wish they had more color options!

  • I have the bigger carryon and the large flex suitcase from Away both in their blush and petal color. The suitcase looks really nice and works really well as I can always overpack my suitcase and still zip it up. My only con that I removed a star from the rating was that they changed the pink color of their suitcases from when they originally launched it, minor difference but makes it so that my suitcase set is not fully matching.

  • Away have changed the game for me. The best suitcase with a super long guarantee. It's easy to use, super secure, stylish and has all the tools I need for a great flight. I wish it had more colour ranges but otherwise amazing. Would recommend over most brands in same price range.

  • Awesome luggage and even better customer service! I have the carry on size and after about a year of use an airline accidentally broke off the zipper. I reached out to the Away customer service team, and within a day I had feedback and was able to replace my suitcase for free! The range of colors available makes it possible to have a bag that stands out, or a neutral suitcase. The charger is amazing as well! I love using it even without the suitcase while traveling.

  • I received an Away carry-on for Christmas about 5 years ago and it has been such a staple in my travel. I fly roughly once a month or once every couple of months, and I never leave my Away bag behind. I even got my husband a bigger bag for his birthday this year and it was a life saver on our trip to Italy. The only thing I would change about my carry-on is that it doesn’t have a usbc input to charge in the battery pack, but it’s also an older version, so that might be different now. It does scratch easily, but that’s also just a part of traveling.

  • I love my Away suitcase - I removed the batteries.. but I have been using it for years!

  • Great bag, have had it for 5 years. The battery stopped working a few years ago and they would not replace it. I believe it worked for about 2 years. Furthermore, the spring to get the battery out broke while at an airport and the gate agent literally got me a screwdriver and made me take it apart. Maybe this was a one off, but it was frustrating all the same. Long story short, it’s a very durable lightweight luggage bags, the wheels work great. 4/5!

  • I am forever obsessed with Away products. I have the larger carry on bag and have had it for about 2 years now. It's my primary choice when traveling and I find myself opting to use it over all other bags I own. It is incredibly durable, fits a ton (I am an over-packer and I always find a way to fit what I want in my bag) and is so sleek. It arrived so quickly and was packaged very nicely in order to protect the case. I definitely will be purchasing more as my travel plans pick up!

  • Zippers break well before they should on carry on

  • At first I didn't love the hard sided luggage because I felt like I couldn't fit as much in it. But I'm an extensive traveler and my soft luggage is starting to show wear on the edges. My away luggage still looks great. It's also easy to push/pull/roll. I only have a carryon but am considering a larger bag too

  • So not worth the money or the hype. You're paying for the aesthetic and the name and thats it

  • Long lasting and quite durable. I have owned for over 5 years and still a solid product

  • I've had my Away Carry-On bag for about 5 years now, and it's still my go-to travel bag. The size is perfect for short trips, the wheels still roll well, and the built-in phone charger and lock are so convenient. The battery has saved me so many times while traveling! I think the interior pockets are well thought out, and the straps help you pack in more than you expect. I don't feel the need to replace it any time soon!

  • I must say Away is my favorite luggage because it can take abuse from airport personnel’s rough handling especially those trips to Asia. Super durable and easy to maneuver. Highly recommend it!

  • Nicely functional bags. Good design too! Bought a few for my travel.

  • Really sturdy suitcase. It is quite expensive, but I thought of it as an investment!

  • Love their bags! Super stylish and very sturdy. Have had mine for years and never had one issue with it.

  • Pricey, but really good. Bought the carry on and it just works great. and It's so pretty <3 my goal is to buy the bigger suitcase as well!
