Reviews mention

  • Sleek minimalist aesthetic design
  • Lightweight hard-shell construction
  • Smooth-rolling 360° wheels
  • Thoughtful interior compression system
  • Easily scuffed exterior surfaces
  • Occasional wobbly telescoping handle
  • Inconsistent zipper or mesh durability
  • Heavier, dent-prone aluminum shell

Away earns strong reviews for durable, lightweight polycarbonate and aluminum luggage that glides smoothly, packs efficiently with compression panels and a laundry bag, and is backed by responsive, often generous warranty service; however, reviews also flag easy exterior scuffing/dents, occasional zipper/handle/wheel issues, divisive or cumbersome battery compartments, and ubiquity that causes bag mix-ups. Overall, Away is good and works well for frequent travel, but buyers should expect cosmetic wear and consider darker colors or covers.

  • The best suitcases hands-down. The full set has lasted me for years and each is lightweight.

  • I’ve had my bigger carryon for 5 years and it is still in great shape. I really push it to the limit with overpacking and slamming it around, and there isn’t even a dent or broken zipper! I’ve also got the large checked bag and pet carrier - but great products.

  • I have the away carry on and overall it is a great carry on bag that I can fit so much in! I travel often for work and it’s great to have a bag that can fit as a carry on for most airlines and I’ve even been able to fit it under the seat once! Great bag would definitely reccomend to anyone looking for a durable and stylish bag.

  • Amazing luggage. My carry on looks so sleek when I travel, and the features like the battery pack and compression are great. I travelled through Europe for 3 weeks with a carry on because I was able to fit so much.

  • I am a huge away advocate! I have had my away bigger carry on since 2017 and even after all the use and abuse it is still in great shape! I am a frequent traveler and will be reaching the million mile club with United hopefully next year! Prior to my away I typically bought the legacy brands samsonite, or Delsey, but found myself replacing them on an annual basis! I will never stray from away!

  • I have had the small carry-on for years now and it's still going strong. Zipper never fails even when I'm squeezing things in there. Only complaint is it's a little too small - I wish I got one size up.

  • I recently had the opportunity to travel to South Korea and I knew that I wanted to invest in a high-quality suitcase that could withstand the rigors of travel. After much research, I decided to go with the Away Aluminum Suitcase Collection and I am so glad that I did! I was immediately impressed with the sleek and modern design of the suitcase, but what really sold me was the durability. The aluminum shell is incredibly sturdy and I felt confident that my belongings would be well-protected during the journey. I loved the range of sizes and colors available in this collection, and I ultimately ended up purchasing every option available! To make them even more special, I had my name engraved on each one. The suitcases were a dream to travel with - they rolled smoothly and were surprisingly lightweight for their size. I also appreciated the thoughtful details, like the built-in TSA-approved lock and the removable laundry bag. Overall, I would highly recommend the Away Aluminum Suitcase Collection to anyone in the market for a luxury suitcase. They are worth the investment and truly made my trip to South Korea feel even more special.

  • I really like away. Their customer service is superior and the product is high quality, sleek, with a great design. I own several away products and feel they are all prices right and have stood the test of time.

  • Love my Away large carry on and full size suitcase. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

  • I cannot say enough about Away! I have 5 pieces of luggage from Away. I got a set when they first launched and had one of my bags personalized. It took six weeks for that one to arrive. I recently got another set and did the same thing and it came in 2 weeks, so they have gotten a lot better at shipping out customized pieces quicker. Once of my suitcases broke and all they asked me for was a picture and they sent new one at no cost. Their unlimited warranty is real and that is something I truly appreciate. I recently went on a 3 week trip to India and Singapore and my Away luggage was awesome. Easy to roll around and stood up to all the in country flights I took. I am happy they recently came out with the expandable version, that is my next purchase.

  • Guys my Away bigger carryon is absolutely my favorite suitcase ever. I have had mine for about 6 years and it is still holding up wonderfully. Their products are definitely an investment but a great one if you travel often.

  • i love this brand, i have been in holiday and all was perfect

  • I have the same dark green carry-on that everyone has, have had it for 5 years now. I love it, it's stylish and fits everything I need for a weekend away comfortably. It has held up really well, a few scratches but nothing major. The battery needing to be removed is annoying, so much so that I don't use it any more. Expensive but worth it based on how long it's lasted me so far.

  • Very functional and stylish suitcases but pricier than alternatives. Also you run the risk of having the same bag as everyone else.

  • Durable, highly efficient and well priced.

  • I have 3 Away suitcases and I love them all. No problems and over the years they're the best wheels and construction compared to other luggages I've tried to alternate with.
