I must admit I am a newbie to the brand of Augustinus Bader. Never heard of it and never tried it before but was super curious to give it a try. After all the sun exposure and being constantly out and about with my boys my skin needed extra vitamin C which is why I decided to give this serum a try. Super easy to use with a pump spray, gentle application and absorbs well into the skin. Doesn't cause any irritation, allergic reaction or breakouts from being too oily. Having combination skin that tends to be sensitive this product worked for me. It helped me even out my skin, without drying it out.

The Augustinus Bader Mineral Sunscreen comes in a beautiful, luxurious bottle and feels more like a rich face cream than a typical sunscreen. It has a light scent that fades quickly, which I appreciate. I have oily skin, and unfortunately it didn't perform well under makeup, my makeup didn't last throughout the day. When I wore it on its own, it did leave my skin looking moisturized, but I noticed a light white cast. I really wanted to love this sunscreen, especially given the price and the expectation that a more expensive product would perform better, but overall it just didn't work for my skin type.

Having done some mental gymnastics to justify the price, I bought the rich cream after reading reviews and identifying it was likely the better suited option for my skin. The packaging reinforces the luxury of the product. The weightiness and the click of the lid every single time is satisfying and the cream itself has a lovely texture that rubs in well and is devoid of any strong perfume or scent. However, 3 months in, I saw no discernible improvement in my skin. In fact, if anything, I’d say it was rather more lacklustre than before I began the daily AB application. In my experience, this was definitely a case of a product not living up to its hype. Highly unlikely I would add to cart again, anytime soon.
