MARTAN is a circular fashion brand that turns waste textiles from the luxury hotel industry into spectacular, colourful and surprising outfits. 

The brand has been founded by designers Diek Pothoven and Douwe de Boer and fashion circularity expect Eugénie Haitsma Mulier. 

When the slightest signs of wear and tear appear in a hotel bed sheet of table cloth, these textiles have to be discarded. Most of the time the fabric will then be shredded or burned but at MARTAN we have discovered that these Egyptian cotton fabrics are still in a great state to become a high-quality garment.

Beautiful design and I love the sourcing philosophy. Everything is made of high-end luxury hotel bed linen. The quality is amazing!

For me the brand name is a little too big on some of the items.

Not only are all the pieces beautifully crafted and amazing to wear, but they are also made in a sustainable manner 

I only wish they released new collections a little more frequently, but I suppose that’s the cross of a new brand to bear!

The fabrics and the cuts at MARTAN are beautiful, truly one-of-a-kind. It’s so rare to find something a bit funky that’s still lovely and flattering but MARTAN knocks it out of the park!!
