I'm pretty new to the salsa scene and was so nervous about buying my first real pair of dance shoes. I'd been stumbling around in street shoes for weeks! A friend recommended wedance, and I'm so glad they did. I went to their Ottawa store, and the experience was just fantastic from start to finish. The staff (I think her name was Olga?) was incredibly patient and knowledgeable. She didn't just ask for my shoe size; she measured my feet, asked about the type of dancing I do, and explained how a dance shoe should properly fit—snug, but not painful. We must have tried on five or six pairs before landing on the Candy Dance Shoes. I fell in love the moment I saw them! They are so sparkly and fun, but more importantly, the quality is amazing. The suede sole is perfect, and the shoe feels both supportive and flexible. I took them for a spin at a social last weekend, and the difference was night and day. I could turn and spin so much more easily, and my feet didn't hurt at all by the end of the night. For anyone in Ottawa looking for quality dance shoes and a great fitting experience, I can't recommend wedance.ca enough!
