Vital Proteins Reviews

4.3

Vital Proteins earns largely positive reviews for collagen that mixes cleanly and often improves joints, skin, and hair, though results vary. Reviews also flag inconsistent taste (especially marine powder), poor dissolution in cold liquids, occasional bloating, and frustrating packaging and lids.

  • This is one of those wellness products where I find it minimally disruptive (I.e., it is easy to take, no flavor, blends easily into liquids coffee whatever it may be) but I’m not sure it actually does anything. Nothing outright bad but I’ve heard collagen is destroyed by your gut and the actual benefits are questionable. Not a must.

  • Vital Proteins has the best collagen (if you ask me). The new packaging is made from cardboard though and falls apart right after opening it. It's also difficult (if you don't end up tearing the container completely) to put the lid back on without getting it stuck in the container! I understand wanting more sustainable packaging but the plastic old one worked so much better for the consumers!

  • I have been using vitamin proteins for about a year now. I really like that it’s flavorless so I can add it to pretty much any smoothie or bowl. It blends easily. I love that it has protein which is always a plus.

  • Tried the Vital Proteins collagen peptides and it’s pretty good. They blend with liquids a lot better than a couple other collagen products I’ve tried from other brands. The vanilla flavor is easy to use in smoothies.
