Where It All Started Hawaii, 2004. A group of surfers from Honolulu felt there was a gap in the sunscreen market – they were looking for sun & skin protection that was strong enough to keep up with their long days in the surf and sun but gentle enough for everyday use. For 3 years they partnered with world-class athletes and industry experts on product insights, development & wear-testing before finally, the world’s first sports-inspired premium suncare & skincare line was born. First to market was a trailblazing line of cosmetic-grade, SPF face sticks that provided long-lasting coverage with sustainable, skin friendly ingredients. Today & Tomorrow California, 2022. Here we are, almost 20 years later, with an expanded product line that still features our famous face sticks, but now includes new tint colors, body sprays and lotions, and an assortment of gear to keep you covered. We have built a strong & mighty family of athletes and ambassadors from all over the world who trust Vertra with their suncare and skincare needs. And then there is you – our loyal friends.
