Nobody needs this bread. If you need to add protein to your diet, get it through natural sources, not overly processed, expensive, frozen bread slices that lack in flavor and texture. Would never try again.

This is a good option for gluten free bread. What sets this apart is that the protein content is higher in this bread versus competitors. It is stored frozen. I prepared it by taking out the amount I plan to eat and letting it thaw at room temperature overnight. Then I toasted the slices (as recommended). I tried it with butter in one instance, peanut better and honey in a second instance and with strawberry jam and black sesame paste in another. It tasted good with all of the spreads. Texture was good for what it is. It is a bit stiffer than regular white bread but was still enjoyable.

Unbun is a great low-carb, grain-free alternative for anyone looking to cut back on traditional bread. The texture is surprisingly good, and the ingredients are clean and keto-friendly. Some varieties can be a bit dense or dry depending on how they're prepared, but overall it’s a solid option for sandwiches or burgers. Four stars for being a healthier, convenient bread substitute!

I recently tried their new protein bread - I was impressed with the amount of protein and how filling the slices were, but found them a bit hard, even after defrosting them. They are a good alternative to "regular" bread, but I would not go in expecting a similar taste.

Their new protein bread is really, really, REALLY good in my opinion. And obviously great macros No, it does not taste like bread exactly but it has a bit of savory flavor and toasts well. I would buy this on the regular, even at the price, but my stomach can't handle the milk protein-I'm hoping they come out with a plant-based version!

I was surprised by how normal the texture of this bread is. Most gluten-free or high-protein products I've tried are dense and gluey. This bread's texture when toasted is crisp on the surface, soft and light when you bite into it. I am also really impressed by how much protein is in each slice. One slice has 11g of protein, and two have 22g. This is an excellent source of protein for someone who is vegetarian and gluten-free. I toasted two slices and paired it with some broccoli cheddar soup to make my meal more filling. I won't be repurchasing at this price because it is too high for me. But otherwise there is a lot to like.

My mom has been looking for gluten-free bagel substitutes, and we tried Unbun pretty recently. Overall, I really enjoyed them. I'm a big fan of the ingredients (no nonsense, clean ingredients) and the macro profile. The taste takes a little getting used to (not dissimilar from most gluten-free bread alternatives, at least in my opinion) but I put some almond butter on and really enjoyed. If you're looking to try gluten-free substitutes, definitely give these a try and see if you like them.
The bread has a nice flavor and I'm glad it uses EVOO. However, I'm disappointed that the ingredients aren't organic or otherwise sustainably sourced—especially for the eggs. Also, they have recently become very difficult to find in stores.

Only use ingredients that are organic or otherwise sustainably sourced—especially for the eggs. Also, avoid plastic packaging and offer larger packages.
I recently tried Unbun Protein Bread and really enjoyed the taste—it’s flavorful, hearty, and works perfectly for my low-carb lifestyle. The high protein content is a big plus, and it’s a great alternative to traditional bread. I also loved the real ingredients. It’s clear that Unbun is committed to quality, and their products are radically tasty. I initially wondered why the bread was frozen, but after learning more, I understand it’s because their products are 100% preservative-free. To maintain freshness, they’re best kept refrigerated (for up to 2 weeks) or frozen (for up to 1 year). This makes it easy to store and use as needed. That said, while the bread itself is fantastic, I think the packaging design could use a refresh to make it more appealing and modern. Overall, I’d highly recommend Unbun Protein Bread for its taste, quality, and clean ingredients—just a few tweaks could make it even better!

Be cautious of the poor reviews - those who dislike the taste don't appreciate the par of the keto bread course. I've been GF and LCHF for a few years now and tend not to buy the processed substitutes on the market. Unbagel/Unbun is one of THE cleanest ingredients lists out there - for a health nut like me its a go-to treat once a week on the weekends to make a better for you meal, like avocado toast, etc!
